Anyway, bullshit aside, can anyone advise of possible parking spots near the ground please? Preferably free of course, but appreciate that may not be realistic.

Imagine we will be in Bradford about 6 ish.

There are Valley Rd, Midland Rd and Queen's Rd all free more or less next to the ground. Getting there at 6 you should be easily able to park on Midland Rd as most get there early.

However as a disclaimer I'm not advising you park on any 3 of them as there is risk of your car been broken in to, I park on Valley Rd and it's never happened to me but it does happen. They seem to target certain Volkswagen's with Sat Nav's built in.

The Broadway Bradford offers safe parking and is cheap, not sure on price probably be around £3 however it's over a mile away. Other closer options are a car park just of Manor Row(tricky to find though) or a multistorey called West gate Multistorey on Google maps but it stank of piss last time i parked there which was around 3 years ago.

Not one person in this thread had suggested that. Wind it in.

You ought to see some of the shite he posts on Claret and Banter - forever jumping to conclusions.

As mentioned, if you drive a VW with a Sat Nav/media centre installed, DO NOT park anywhere near the ground. I leave mine at home and venture down in the mother’s Ford Ka, complete with fragranted flower pots.

Park in a secure car park - a simple google search will locate a fair few.

Wind what in? Just giving my opinion. Looking forward to seeing the undaunted free flowing non-defensive Oldham display tonight.

Some textbook message board making a mountain out of a mole hill quotes in this thread, well done gents.
Parking at 6:00 will be easy, if it were me I'd park on Queens Rd, facing up hill between Midland Rd and Kings Rd - there'll be quicker routes but factoring in ease of getting away, it's free, closeness, having your car broken into (VW/Seat/Skoda) and a straightforward route back to the motorway, I reckon that's your best bet.

Bit late but I park on Gracechurch Street. Parked there for about 10 years and never had an issue, get there half an hour before kick off and there's plenty of parking. If parking there just don't wear colours walking past the Barrack's Tavern.

Enjoy the night except the result. Although seeing all our changes I'm feeling a little pessimistic, hope I'm wrong though.

Given we have won 7 of our last 8 Tuesday night games, have won 4 in a row under Wellens, and playing good stuff, I can see the luck running out tonight!

Fair result in the end. That 5 minute period where the ref was wandering the pitch clueless as to who he was booking was incredible though.

I’ve seen some shocking refereeing performances in my footballing lifetime, but he was by far to worst I have seen. EVER.

Hope footage of that comes out, sounds hilarious.

Also sounds like it descended into farce by the end and took away from what had been a good game.

It was a good game but more because neither team had a grip on the game. I thought we were pretty bad, not sure about Patrick from what I’ve seen, looks nowhere near the first team. Wyke poor, Law was shocking and truly unbelievable he got MotM. We looked shaky at the back without McMahon and Killa. Couldn’t pass wind today and gave the ball away countless times.

Having said all that we still created more chances and Taylor’s goal was a cracker.

Oldham were tidy and should do better than being in a relegation battle this season.

He was terrible I agree, thought I don't think he favoured anyone in particular.

He just missed two massive incidents;

1.) The clear drag-back Of Wyke in the area - clear pen IMO.
2.) The elbow on Vincelot (straight red)... no leverage involved, just a blatant blow to the face.

At that point, with a great chance of it being 2-0, the game would’ve been over, as our tails were up anyway. I felt the Oldham goal came from knwowhere, and when it seemed that the ref would give Wyke absolutely no protection whatsoever, it was almost like playing with ten men.

The extra man in midfield for yous was the difference - and I was quite impressed with the black lad of yours.

Fucking hell, we might actually get some £££ for Doyle, he's flying.

I could see some desperate minnows like Blackburn trying to sign him in January.

Really looked a pen to me and the ref gave Wyke no protection at all. On the other hand, whenever Doyle lost the ball, he went to ground and got a free kick. Had a good view of the elbow incident and think the ref got that right. Davies led with the arm but that was natural with his body position. There was no elbow and to me no mal intent, just a determination to win the ball. The incident leading to the comedy happened behind the ref's back and to be fair to him, he needed helping out with it. I was impressed with Oldham and if they can maintain consistency, no reason why top 6 is out of reach.

Just had a quick view on the Oldham forum again.....

Jesus, there are some very, very confident Latics on there. Most of them thought they were the much better side, despite the fact that they weren’t in the game for large parts (IMO), and they amassed less shots, less corners and saw less of the ball - and to be fair, we didn’t play anywhere as well as what we have/can do.

I get it, though, they’ve won a few games and they’re not particularly used to it. Couple of defeats should bring them down a peg or two.

They did look the better side in terms of passing play but realistically they didn’t test Doyle enough. And usually our passing is a lot better, we had a shite night at the office last night. We still created a lot which might be a worry for them or an encouragement for us depending on how you look at it.
