And some people say the Spanish don't have a sense of humour
This guy has won the lot, he knows his stuff and for him single out our John shows how good and superior defender he is to the rest.

I'd say his value has gone up again to circa £55 million

He's basically tapping up 2 players here, Pogba and De Gea.

Is 'Barcelona legend' accurate, would we say?

He's been a constant for the most successful period in their history - their best CB for 3 Champions League Titles and 5 La Ligas. I don't think team success should be considered when evaluating individual players, but in the realm of "club legend" it probably applies.

I think Johnny has used that term to strengthen the case that a legend knows a good player and has chosen John Stones.

I'm surprised Johnny can remember him given that he only played against Everton one time.

Aye. I dunno. I never had him as a Puyol or Xavi level of Barcelona legend, but that's based on nowt more than just personal perception I guess. But I think thespus is about right, really.

I copied the title from the daily mirror............plus my in depth footballing knowledge told me not to change the accurate description.
