It was a clear DOGSO so a definite red.
I see that a few Northants fans were doing a bit of a Barrow*/Woking reaction to our penalty, which is always funny to see when the penalty has been dispatched.

What I don't understand about the prevention of a clear goal scoring opportunity, is that the penalty was scored so it really didn't prevent a goal, so he should not have been sent off.

What I don't understand about throw ins is that the ball is only going to be thrown back on to the pitch, so why bother throwing? :crazy:

The Conference toyed with that a few years back - "kick ons" didn't last long...! :dk:

I think it was the Isthmian League that had this particular experiment. The Conference experimented having no offsides from direct free kicks, which favoured brutish Lincoln City in 87/88.
