Now let's wait for Mowgli to come in here and start defending that behaviour and condemning the reactions of Barnet fans :ffs:

''Erm.. You must've missed the part where John Akinde assaulted all 11 men on the pitch and got away with no booking''.

'I saw it so clearly, I was standing right at the top of your terrace down the other end of the pitch. Obvious contact there, he should've been sent off, fined and incarcerated'

You can't even defend that behaviour. It's happening time and time again clearly - when will officials cotton on to this kind of stuff?

Very interested to hear any Wycombe fans views on this.

In response to Urban, I've said already several times even on this thread that I think our gamesmanship is shit, unnecessary and counterproductive, don't know what more you want me to say.

I know you have mate, it's not gone unnoticed. Just interested in what the other, less level-headed Wycombe folk have to say is all!

Probably stop crying . Yeah Wycombe are cheating thugs . I don't like the club but they've got a way of playing which has given them a modicum of success . Take the moral high ground and hope for a win next time

What's the point of a football forum if we don't all whinge about the things that happened in the game? It would be a boring thread that read "Barnet played Wycombe, Wycombe won. Better luck next time".

Fair enough , but it's almost Monday and urban is still going on about big, bad , cheaty wycombe . It's not like we went on about being unlucky to get relegated is it ?:hypo:

Er, I'm replying to people who are replying to me? Didn't realise that discussions on forums had to be limited to a 24 hour period after the game has finished :ffs:

It is. As a fan of football it just grates on you, something should be done about that style.

Negative football is part of the game . Honestly don't get me wrong , I wish nothing but shite and strife on wycombe but ainsworth 's got them going .

I'd agree, but its not negative, it's cheating and gamesmanship.

Anyway, let's just hope Ingram makes a few David James-esque howlers and disappears from football for a long while.

Bristol Rovers weren't unlucky to be relegated, either. After 46 games you were one of the two worst teams in the division.

I was at Barnet for this. I honestly think a lot is being made out of Wycombe's gamesmanship. Winning team under the cosh in timewaste shocker.

I think as it stands Barnet are probably a lower half League Two side but I don't think they're that far off being able to mount a legitimate play off challenge. Maybe a central midfielder that's going to create something and an end product for Gambin and I think you're there. Didn't think Weston looked comfortable in an attacking role and Champion seems like a slightly worse version of Togwell. I think on another day Barnet would have got something out of that. Was very impressed with Ingram, excellent save from Gash and did very well both times Akinde was through, although he's really got to hit the target from those.

Highlights.

No contact from Dembele. An absolute dive:ffs:

It was a penalty. Dembele nudges Thompson. He goes down easily, but every player in the Football League would do the same.

I wasn't at the game but it just sounds like an away team came and did a job which worked and got them the three points. Might not have been pretty but such is life.

Wycombe's first goal was a cracker and came after we had missed a few decent chances. The penalty certainly looked soft, although given our abundance of soft penalties last season, we can hardly complain.

Although it's a bit cliché, there must have been numerous valuable lessons from this game that we will need to learn from if we are to push up the table. If we want to challenge at the right end of the table, we will need to learn to be far more effective, even if it means wasting a bit of time here and there and absolutely must start taking some of our chances.

Early days but from what I've heard, we played well at Orient for an hour, were excellent at Millwall and had decent chances against Wycombe in the first half. We don't want to go too long without a win but it seems as though we've been doing ok thus far.

Weston certainly has struggled to make an impact so far this season. I'm not sure why this is because he has plenty of experience at playing at this level and higher. So far, he hasn't been able to break forward and support Akinde, nor has he made much of a contribution in winning and keeping possession for us.

Totally agree but what can fans do about it? It pisses me off that the last game to finish in League 2 always involves us. I've heard many Wycombe fans complaining about time wasting, i've also heard opposition fans booing our players who asre clearly injured but thayt's down to out reputation i suppose. What some fans don't realize is this is League 2 and it's not pretty as not one team down here plays like Barcelona.

This is basically what we all predicted pre-season. Hence why were all so annoyed we didn't sign Conor Clifford who wanted to sign (although now he is at Boreham Wood so maybe it was the correct decision).
