Win this and things really do get real. Draw and it's not a disaster.
Glad Barnsley's winning streak is over but worried they'll come back after losing 2 on the bounce.

Would definitely take a point. Should be a few making the trip, looking forward to a day out probably via Sheffield.

If we can win 2 out of the next 3, we should be well set. This is potable to me this one, but a point wouldn't be the end of the world. A loss here and Rochdale winning would be bad news though

Bought my tickets today, buzzing for this one. Hoping we take at least 3k.

Also it's my best mates birthday, and half of his work mates live in dingle land, so I'm going out round there after. Any half decent bars/clubs you lads can recommend?

A draw would be quite nice. Preferably one where Chesterfield hang on with 8 men for the last few minutes after Roberts, Morsy and someone else who isn't that Armand fella pick up red cards.

I'm almost past caring after our last two results/performances but if we win we'll only be 4 points behind with 12 to play for, not an impossible task. However, I predicted earlier in the month our good run of form would be followed by a shit one and that's very much going to plan, so we'll lose this one comfortably in a performance similar to the one against Sheff United. Been really impressed with Chesterfield all season and it'd be great to see you in the Championship, although I hope we twat you tomorrow.

Feel that may be (very) wishful thinking though.
Any half decent bars/clubs you lads can recommend?
Old No. 7, The Joseph Bramah, Silkstone Inn and Courthouse for real ale/cider, Corner Pin, Walkabout, Funky Buddha, Soul Lounge and a shit ton of others for bars, Che Bar, Blue Room, Voudou, basically anything on Wellington Street for night clubs.

Woke up nervous for this.. It's not the be all and end all. I mean, it's nice that we'll be in the playoffs at the end of the day, whatever happens.. But still, it's a biggie.

My heart says that we turn up there with 3,000+, sing our hearts out, and we get a huge win with a good atmosphere - Then I can enjoy my night out afterwards.

My head says that it's town, casuals might not turn up, and we might not turn up as a team - Meaning a loss/draw, with 2,500 odd fans.

On the other hand, as much as I've desperately tried to be negative this season to save heart break, this team keeps giving me a reason not to be. So who knows.

Should start like-

Lee
Darikwa Evatt Hird Talbot
Morsy Ryan
Ariyibi O'Shea Roberts
Clucas

With Banks, Harrison and Gardener to chuck on if we need a goal - And Mr PFA Chairman to chuck on if we need suring up.

I'd very much take a draw. Abandoned the train idea, setting off in half an hour in the car as there are only four of us. Cans of G&T are chilling for the journey.

It would appear luck is very much on chesterfield's side today, god knows how we're behind. Still, playing Winnall on the wing again is fucking ridiculous in a game we have to win to still have a slim chance of 6th. Us to huff and puff, Chesterfield to score again and our season to fizzle out second half.

Well I was right about our season fizzling out but was a much better second half and we should have won really, just wasted too many chances. Thought Chesterfield were a decent ball-playing side but struggled to create much without our help i.e. Hourihane's slip for the goal.
The referee however was the worst I've seen this season. It's been refreshing after 8 years in the Championship not having teams throwing themselves to the floor at the slightest bit of contact, unfortunately today was the first time I've seen it at Oakwell this season and Roberts in particular killed any momentum we gained from the equaliser by doing it at every opportunity.

Oh well, that's our season done and dusted then. Suppose I can't complain too much given where we were 2 months ago but it's still frustrating to have thrown away an unlikely shot at the play-offs in the last couple of weeks. Good luck Chesterfield lads, would be brilliant to see you beat United in the final.

Not our greatest showing today, second half was in fairness, really poor but we were always going to drop points at some stage and nobody has made any ground on us so overall a decent day.

Couldn't go today but it looks like a good point from here given the quality of opposition. Fully believe we can get in the top six now. Tuesday night is massive.

We have gained a bit of a reputation of going down easily, and one I won't argue against. Robbo is the main culprit,as was Doyle before he left, but Clucas,O'shea, and others are all guilty as well.

Still I don't really care, being sat in our current position.

Well, if you foul him he'll fall down.

Why would you think that dropping a division would mean seeing players more likely to fall over?

That seems a little peculiar.

I see you've liked my previous post....It's a shame that Cookie employs this. I don't like to see it happening in the game as a whole, although it's won us points this season I'm in no doubt. We're not a team of divers, we just go to ground theatrically at the slightest contact and very often look for the contact. A shame really as we're good enough without having to resort to that.

I know Higdon went straight through him earlier in the season and deserved his red card, but Daniel Jones' worm like movements after were a fuckin' embarrassment.

Still, fuck it, I'm not shy. I'll take another 4 games of the same if it secures us 6th place. Any supporter who would profess different isn't being truthful with themselves.

I personally feel Roberts gets a lot of rough attention from opposition. It seemed in the 2nd half yesterday Barnsley basically tried to kick him out of the game, and although Roberts doesn't need much of an invitation to go down, there were also some heavy challenges going in on him which forced him to go off with a knock.

Still, I think diving is one of those things that you hate to see the other team do, but if Roberts takes a dive to win a penalty at Wembley against United, I'm not going to complain too much!
