Bit of kick in the bollocks to lose last night, especially in the manner we lost it. Players looked dead on their feet and couple that with a last minute goal to lose it, confidence might have taken a bit of a hit.

Tempting to make some changes to freshen things up, but not sure who and where. Maybe put Turton into midfield at the expense of Jones and bring Baillie in. But I don't think you can drop any of the others, so we might well have to keep it the same. If LDV's injury is semi serious, it may step up our search for a striker.

As for Barnsley, it'll be interesting to see if they make an appointment before Saturday. Doesn't look like it, but things may change over the next 2 days. Also be interesting to see how they react from their hammering at Crawley. Their home record bar the Fleetwood defeat is pretty good of late, having won 4 and drawn 1 of their last 5 league games at Oakwell. Got a number of decent players which could do us some damage, but we have to be somewhat confident of getting chances against a defence that has let in just 5 fewer goals than we have this season.

After losing last night, there is a bit of pressure on this game to get a result as we don't want to be going into a tough run of fixtures after Saturday off the back of 2 defeats. Hopefully we can bounce back and I think we might. 2-2 draw, Ajose and Haber to score.

We hadn't lost for ages before last night, so it'll be interesting to see how they react. Hopefully they'll be well-rested and can put a good performance together.

Ages? 17 days and 3 games, when we got battered by MK Dons at the end of January. I realise that for us that might be an achievement, but it aint ages.

Lovely picture that, was good mates with Harry at primary school till he moved to Crewe when we were 7/8. Great to see that he's come through with flying colours.

You'll beat us on Saturday if we've not got a new manager in. The players made it clear at Crawley that they don't want to play for Burton/Heckingbottom. And I wouldn't worry about our "decent" players (Hourihane, Cranie, Nyatanga, Lita etc.). At best they're inconsistent, at worst a bunch of bottling, spineless losers. The only way we'll win is if we've got a new manager in who can immediately motivate a team totally shot of confidence and desire.

Hope you're right, last night was a kick in the teeth to lose in the 90th minute, need to get our good run back on track

I once made Drew Talbot cry and take his ball home, I don't like to brag though.

Hope we don't help a side in need of a win out again.

If Barnsley allegedly don't want to play for Burton and Heckingbottom then we SHOULD win, but you never know with Crewe...

Seriously, that was an atrocious game to watch. Both sides will not be far off the bottom 4, if not in it come the end of the season. Only difference was one set piece which we didn't defend and Barnsley took advantage of. Our debut keeper then decided to punch the ball into his own net, nice one Paul.

We were seriously flat, no energy, no desire, no quality. Not a lot else to say really. Onto a really easy run of fixtures over the next few weeks now.

Thoroughly disappointing performance. Can't even say who had a good game and I hope to god we bring in a new striker and that Ben isn't out for long!

Well played Rachubka...

Must be a thing with keepers at Oakwell! Neal did the same although it was out of play when their lad hit it.

The game was shit, Barnsley were shit, we were absolutely fucking woeful. As bad as we've been since September, not a single player came out of it with any credit.

I hope Ben walked off in sheer embarrassment of his team mates cos if he's injured for any amount of time, that is more gutting than the result/performance.

Few players did alright. Turton was pretty decent, even with playing at LWB for the first time. Grant was pretty solid and having to cover for the other 2 midfielders who were dire. Tate didn't do a lot wrong and Garratt did ok and could do nothing about the first goal. Haber did his best with no support from either Ajose or the midfielders.

Think you're being kind. Grant was as incapable at finding a blue shirt as the rest and Marcus Haber for me actually gave a pretty decent argument to get another loan striker in. His decision making today was infuriating, in particular when he smashed it over from the most insane angle when he could have set up Ajose, he has also missed some glorious chances these last two games too.

Can't disagree with anything posted so far. Two poor teams and we came out on top courtesy of a bit of sustained pressure in the second half and Butter Fingers throwing the ball into his own net. The first half should never be mentioned again. Crewe were very poor and I assume that performance was an exception to the norm rather than standard, at least recently anyway. Was a terrible game overall but when you've got Leroy Lita and Kane Hemmings up front, you've got to take what you can get.
