Tuesday is the day we finally earn parity on games played, and with the win over Walsall it means we can "afford" a loss here.

That being said, 3 wins on the spin, 4 clean sheets on the spin, we should be looking for points here - perhaps even all 3.

Barnsley will have to come at us as they're chasing that 6th spot and you'd have to feel nothing but a win here would end that dream.

Same team please, John:

Coleman

Dummigan Wilson Gerrard THD

Dieng
Jones Kelly
Palmer

Main Forte
Barnsley 0-0 Latics
(650 'tics)

If you could draw or win that would be great please Oldham.

We've forgotten how to "come" (lol) at teams at Oakwell and when we do get into good positions our players forget to shoot.

We need to win to stand any chance of making 6th but I just don't think we've got it in us. You're in good form and pretty miserly away from home and I think your players will want it more on the night. I'm still very proud of our lads after a stunning turnaround in form since being bottom in December, and I'd love to be proved wrong on Tuesday, but I think it will be a draw or win for Oldham.

Which tbh, if it means you stay up, wouldn't be the end of the world. One of my favourite away days.

You're in the minority I would imagine for saying a trip to Latics is a good away day!

Do you booze in Manchester or just invade one of the pubs close to the ground, as Oldham is pretty shit in general?

I do booze on away trips occasionally but it's more about the fact I can drag my dad out for the day, have a lovely drive up through Holmfirth (where we stop for fish and chips and a pint) and then over Saddleworth. Plus we've won there both times I've been which probably helps. Can see why others going up the M1 then M62 or on the train might not fancy it but it's a piss easy trip for me with some nice scenery chucked in.

To not lose is what's important here. Keeping some momentum going and taking us to 3 points clear with better form and still a game over blackpool.

That said we can win this and should be looking to do so. 3 wins and 4 clean sheets on the bounce should see us full of confidence

Although many parts of Oldham are rancid, Saddleworth really is scenic and is definitely one of the nicer parts of Greater Manchester(although saddleworth folk like to think they aren't in Oldham).

As for the game itself I reckon we might sneak a point, despite having a woeful record at Oakwell. A loss wouldn't be a disaster but I really think we need to have a go tonight as this in effect is a free game and three points would make us more or less safe.

Main was your best player tonight, a real handful for our defence and took his goal well.

I won't be surprised if you Latics feel a bit feel a bit hard done by tonight as you came to try and win the game and had a decent amount of possession in the first half, despite not really troubling Davies too much. We didn't create much in the first half either although Winnall hit the post, second half we created the better chances before Main scored out of the blue, after which we had a couple of other decent chances before closing the game out after going 2-1 up. Not a bad performance from either team but a game which I felt we just about deserved to win.

You lot won't have any problems stopping up if your players graft as they did tonight and they give Main more of the ball. Good following from your supporters as well. Best wishes to Wilson, looked in pretty bad shape at the game but hopefully looked more serious than it was.
