Anyone been watching? two very good games so far both going to overtime. Massive win for the Cavs last night in Oakland with LeBron getting a triple double.
Still fancy GS to take the title but reckon it'll go the full 7 games.
Basketball is back! Unbounded optimism for the Celtics which absolutely means they'll fall flat on their face a la Notts and the Texans already this year. Advanced stats love the team this year which is nice but it's hard to forget how brutally Cleveland dealt with them last year. I'll stay conservative and predict 45-37, just above their over/under, assuming there's no big trade.

Hoping to go 4-0 tonight. Even though I have a soft spot for the Mavericks, my priority is the Raptors and I've been impressed with how well we started off. Not entirely convinced just yet though.
As for other results, Philadelphia are awful. Its getting to the point where not even drafting is helping them. Once Jrue Holiday left the team just went seriously downhill. Houston get their first win of the season over OKC.
Was impressed with Toronto @ Boston, though they looked good for long stretches last season before falling off.
Celtics are still plagued by starting lineup issues and I'm not sure when we'll see that change without moving at least Johnson into the starting 5. There is such a thing as having too many players and it does seem that way with 5 big playing every night. Luckily the Nets are 0-4 already and the Celtics have their pick so
I was at the game last night and this whole Kobe's retirement wankfest is starting to piss me off. Kobe deserves a standing ovation but the thing that bugs me is at the game last night the people would applaud everytime Kobe scored a point. Its like they wanted the team to lose just so Kobe did well. Fucking tourists
The Golden State Warriors are from another planet. They are unstoppable. Just when everyone thought they would lose to Indiana, they killed it. Don't let the scoreline fool you, this was a walk in the park for Golden State. 23 games won in a row, and looking at their next few games, it doesn't look like its going to stop soon. I reckon they'll finally lose on Christmas against Cleveland.
Yeah Cleveland are going to be so fired up for that game if they still haven't suffered a loss by then. 79 first half points last night, they are so good.
From what I'm seeing, the west is taking it this year again. San Antonio or Golden State my picks.
Everyone is saying that the east is better than the west this year, but I don't think so. The best team in the east, Cleveland, is still missing something to actually win a championship in my opinion. Lebron will probably show up in the playoffs when it most matters though and reach the final but I don't think they'll win it.
The eastern conference final could be between anyone really. If you look at the standings at this current moment, I'd only rule out Detroit and Boston. Toronto is a doubt because of the last 2 playoffs but maybe they get it right this time?
Yeah San Antonio and GSW look a class apart in the west. Either of those two would beat Cleveland in the final imo. Now the Cavs have got Irving back fit and firing they might start to look more of a threat though.
What a game in New York. Knicks beat the Celtics 120-114. The Knicks are playing fantastically well at the moment, Porzingis is having a brilliant rookie year. Massive future for him.
Spurs @ Warriors will be an interesting one and the match everyone has been talking about for some time. I think the Warriors will take it on monday when the match is scheduled. Spurs are the only team that can stop Golden State in my opinion but I don't think they'll do it in Oakland during the regular season.
All stars named. Really happy Kyle Lowry made it back as he's one of my favourite players and obviously plays on my team
Still wondering what the fuck Kobe is doing in there though. I know its his last season but fucking hell he's not doing well. It kinda breaks the purpose of an all star game
Yes, and that's the reason the NBA ASG game is the only good ASG. It's a pageant, it's daft, it's fun - stars and names and Shaq attempting to beat a PG off a dribble for a 30 foot 3 pointer. And long may it continue thus.
