Yeah, in L1.

Pretty impressive achievement for anyone who has done it - 2.38 points per game, takes some doing.
Think it's just those two.

Charlatan set the record at 101(?) and then Wolves beat it just 2 years after!

And then Bristol City broke Wolves record the year after it was set! What a fantastic team ay..

Still my favourite ever season. We finished 2nd above the massive Bristol City, a lot of very good teams and very good goal scorers that season.

I loved that season too! Best football ive ever seen at Ashton Gate. Wigan, Crewe, ourselves, QPR, Cardiff and Oldham were excellent sides that year.

Used to love Scott Murray and Christian Roberts. One of the best lower league sides I've ever seen but never filled its potential because I believe many of the lads liked a bev or 10. Plus Danny Wilson was never one for playoffs was he?

Rob Earnshaw, the Duke Ellington in his prime and our very own Rob Hulse and Dean Ashton were class that campaign. Had a quality leader in Dave Brammer too who is very much like Alan Tate is for us now.

I'd add Tranmere to that as well who were unlucky to miss out on the play offs. We were all so consistant and never seemed to drop points, apart from against each other.

How I wish Gillingham were capable of holding an injury time lead, god knows what would've happened to City if they'd lost that game given they were massively in debt.

Thanks for the reminder. Cheers Mark Halsey for that one (although we REALLY should've held on!)

The 99/00 season was an insanely strong year as well, beating an excellent Stoke side over two games in the play-offs, and inching past Wigan in the final. Seem to remember we relegated Cardiff to the 4th tier as well that year, and look where they ended up!

If I'm right Tranmere had a terrible first half of the season but produced title winning form in the last 15-20 games of the season, don't think they were ever in the Top 6 once during that season despite their 80 point season!

That's the first season I can properly remember. Awesome season, especially that game at Wigan when we took 8,000!

Thanks for reminding me of that season, it was a brilliant campaign! Us and yourselves played some great attacking Football.
I found Wigan, QPR and Oldham to be physical and workmanlike.
Was a great season.

Notts for the drop and Rochdale for the play-offs. Sheff Utd to flop.

Hmmmm...

Can we never speak of this again please?

We were unbeaten away from home that season til we visited Ashton Gate on 04-Mar-03.

Only yourselves and Wigan beat us that season away from BP.

Always remember 2002-03 for Efe Sodje committing GBH against Wigan and only getting booked before that useless ref Eddie Wolstenholme decided he made a mistake and sent Sodje off for sod all straight after.

Think we broke records for our away form, only lost at Wigan, Cardiff and Tranmere (the latter two being late goals going in against us) and scored on average 2 goals a game. Defending was totally non-existent that season because there were so many high scoring games!

2002/03 is the season that Sir Phil Parkinson rescued us and began the ascent to the dizzying heights of the Championship; never before and never again.

I've got PNE and Dons level on 93 points...didn't add in the goal differences but MK are slightly ahead as it stands.
