Jensen v Bayo of course.

I'd like to think we could get 3 points and get our first home win of the season but Wimbledon will be tough opposition and will more than likely be coming up here to take some points back themselves.

A draw is okay but I feel we need that first win at home just to steady the ship.

Not sure what you get when we take the pitch these days. We generally look world beaters for 45 mins and then like we couldn't beat an egg for the next 45. I expect to leave here with some points. 1 maybe but three would be nice. I guess 1 all.

RefWatch; Ref for Stags game is Ross Joyce, a 29 year old spiky haired muppet from Eston, the inbreeding capital of the North. First season as FL ref, youngest ref in the FL (ooohh), finished top of the Merit Table (oooohhh) last season in the Conference. Never reffed Wombles. Loves Stags - reffed them 9 times in the Conf, ( 7 at Field Mill), won 6 & drew 3. Hates the scum. Never reffed them. Hates them. In 19 Conference games last season he gave 68 Y & 6 R = highish R.
AnangramWatch; Ross Joyce = Secs or Joy.

Has the Football League had a fresh influx of new referees?

Stags fans can help me out here, but haven't we already had 2 refs this season making their FL debuts?

And the game, 2-1 Manny T. Late winner after the usual 89 minutes of grumbling.

He's played a small role so far. He made his full debut on Tuesday in the JPT.

Looked decent in pre-season but is currently very much a back up player. Does he have a history of injuries with the Imps?

He does with every FT Club he's been at. Leicester released him on medical grounds, as did Burton, as did Lincoln.

As with you, looked good in pre-season, but in our final friendly he tweaked his hamstring. Made two or three appearances a month later and then was never seen again due to injury, although he did have a month out on loan at a PT side. Tried to get rid in the January transfer window but wouldn't move anywhere or have his contract settled.

Don't think it's any coincidence that his best spell came in PT football last season. His body just can't handle FT.

Good for you. We did actually by the way and saved by a fan consortium. Also, it was, quite clearly, a joke so try to untwist your panties.

I did wonder why he hadn't made it at Sincil Bank, cos his movement looks good and he's a bulky lad who looks strong, which makes him look a handful but perhaps it masks a problem somewhere?
Either way, no injuries have surfaced yet.

What's the score your way with Liam Hearn, are Lincoln breaking him in gently?
And it's great to see boom boom Rheady hitting the ground running.

On another note, I notice you've taken on Terry Hawkwind from Scunny. Hope you get more of a tune out of him than we did. 5 appearances and I don't recall a single decent touch of the ball.

Why would a spireite come on to this thread and take a pop at Wimbledon's league status?

He basically just wants a pop at Stags, which is fair enough. My advice to spireite_uk would be to start a thread called - 'All Stags are c***' - that way we can agree that all spireites are the same. It'll easily just confirm everyone's opinion and then we can just move on. Cheers.

Pretty much it.

Direites tend to remind me of that annoying little brother who is trying to get the attention of there bigger brother " Look at me Look at me I'M so big and important"

Honestly I would of though they would be more focused on the league campaign with Mr Relegation.

They are a simple bunch, aren't they? Bless

As for the game, I think it'll be one of those that could quite easily go either way, our aim is to be midtable this season and I dare say Wimbledon might be somewhere similar (sorry if you have higher aspirations this term).

Our defending has been a little lax from set peices, so if Akinfenwa is playing and on form, he could make the difference.

I'll go for another home draw

After having a great record against Mansfield in the conference, we can't beat them now they're back in the league. I'd be happy with a point.

Eased Hearn back in with 30 and then 75 minutes, but he's missed the last 3. FGR due to illness and then Saturday and Monday's game with a hamstring twinge (he was never going to make Monday after missing Saturday). I'm not sure we'll risk giving him too many full games and instead save him for the next one. I'd rather him last 75 minutes most weeks than give him 90 for a handful of games and breakdown. He does a lot of work on his own with the physio away from the rest of the squad.

Not sure what Rhead's got now - 6 in 8 or something and several assists. He's that experienced, clever head up front that we've not had since we've been down here and not really had since Mark Stallard (slightly different players, mind). I think he'll struggle against the top 5 sides but he'll eat some defences down here for breakfast as will Hearn if he stays fit.

Problem we've got is that they're really the only two strikers we have. If they're injured, we head down to 18-20 year olds from the youth system.

He sat out the final weeks of pre season with us because of Ramadan so he wasn't eating properly. His previous injuries could be to do with this? Just guesswork as you said he broke down in the last game of your pre season but he's been fine for us thus far.
