RefWatch; Ref for Doomed York game is Rob Lewis, 47, from Shropshire. FL ref for 11 years. Another ref who gets injured a lot, he only did 19 games last season, and is notorious for being the lino who disallowed the goal during the 2005 Man U v Spurs game when Carroll dropped the ball 2 yards over the line from Mendes' shot.

Absolute image of Norman Bates, he has the look of a man who deletes his browsing history by the hour. Runs a motel in Dudley with his mum, but the reviews are quite poor, some problems with the shower, apparently. Black certainly is his colour, it really brings out the soulless emptiness of his eyes, eyes that are blacker than the pits of hell, blacker than Satan's soul, blacker than the East Putney Waitrose customer services dept, which is the blackest of all. Dreadfully eager too, says he is 'always looking to improve'. Well, if you stopped reffing and started farming like a proper Shropshire boy that would be a great improvement, Robert.

Reffed Wombles twice; both at home & both 4-0 wins; Burton in March '12 (3Y) & Pompey in Nov '13 (5Y). Reffed Doomed York twice; 2-0 home loss to Doomed Torquay in '12 (1Y) & 1-1 draw with Pompey last May (2Y) Hates the scum. Never reffed them but hates them pissing on those poor Cheltenham racegoers. Hates them. Home win % is 60% - highish. In 21 games he has given 68Y & 3R - average.

AnagramWatch; Ref Rob Lewis = I Blow Reefers.
York City FC = Down by Easter.
KettleWatch; AWOL, probably bumped down to Conference, poor them.

Given we've already lost at home to Daggers, Stevenage and Yeovil this season, I see no reason why we won't add York to that list. Particularly as we only have one available centre back.

Going with a 4-0 Wombles win.

Dunno if you're serious or just kidding, but I don't see it happening. York will approach their last 10 games as their cup finals and I wouldn't be surprised if they take a point or all 3 on Saturday. Sure, they are a poor side this year, but generally those sides at the bottom start to pick up around this time of the year.

Taylor and Murphy will have had a week training together (minus a day on the piss at Cheltenham), they looked promising at Morecambe so if they click that 4-0 could be a winner. Much more likely we'll get ourselves ahead, blow umpteen decent chances to win the game by a bucketfull and then concede a sloppy equalizer after Roos fails to collect a cross. 1-1 would probably end both club's season so I'll have a pound on that.

Bit of both, would like to see us put someone to the sword, but as you say, every game is a cup final for York.

We need to get back to winning ways here, especially at home. If we do not win this I can see us making the challenge of catching 7th place too tough, and we will drift away.

York are almost certainly thinking the same thing down the bottom.

Yet another big game! One of the most exciting ends of season for us for a while!

Also I've just noticed that if we are to win the match on Saturday, we will be mathematically safe from relegation :)

Meh. Team struggling at the bottom.......

This has draw written all over it. Disjointed/depleted squad. possibly playing a centre half who's only played 1 game? all season.
Think we'll witness the traditional Wimbledon that struggles against teams near the bottom
1-1. With the possibility of York snatching a win

We're not depleted though and no more disjointed than we have been all season. Rhys Murphy instead of Akinfenwa I'd take all day long, and at the back we've swapped in grizzled experience coming back from injury to replace an 18-year-old who's come through a set of really tough games and is looking tired.

I'd normally agree with the pessimism against struggling teams but am fairly confident we'll put this to bed by 2 or 3 goals.

Don't worry, we haven't had any fight all season. You will win without getting out of second gear, every single fan has accepted relegation as a certainty now, and the players did so before Christmas.

Shocker of a first half. If you dont take your chances you don't deserve to score. The York goal was inevitable seeing as they've been even worse than us.

Ouch. Sorry York. Anyway sorry but you just don't have enough quality to survive.

We're shit, we deserve it, we're never coming back, unless it's as AFC York.

You essentially copy and paste that to every one of our match threads.

McNamara's made errors, I want him gone, but the players have been a disgrace for two seasons and it'll be the first time I've genuinely celebrate people losing their jobs when those arseholes are shown the door this summer.

I think that a lot of the posters on here would like you (and D&R) to survive, there are other clubs that some of us would like to see the back of.

That was possibly the best goal we've scored since getting promoted to the league. I didn't have a great view in the ground, but on the highlights it looks immense.

That certainly was a fantastic goal, worthy of winning any match. Typical of our season to lose with the last kick, but in all honesty a point wouldn't have done much for us anyway.
