We have just signed ex Tranmere winger, Bell-Baggie. Just wondered what Tranmere fans made of him? A but worrying that you released him...

Also what do you make of Micky Adams? Seemed a good appointment on paper but not doing quite as well as I expected? Cant be worse than Rob Edwards though surely? He seemed a right clown to sign all our rejects!

Baggie's a bit hit and miss, but a decent player on his day. I'd have kept him over some of the shite Adams has brought in on loan. Bit lightweight and can be anonymous at times but he's got a good turn of pace, and should do well for you. Probably our best player, along with Danny Holmes, at the start of the season, but Adams didn't really give him a chance. As for Micky Adams... I'm not entirely sure he knows what day of the week it is.

Adams answer to everything is to sign more useless loanees and change the team/system to accommodate them. He was ok to start with but in the last 2 months has completely lost the plot. If he doesn`t like a player for some reason better known to himself that player is frozen out which is what happened to Baggie, who IMO should have been kept, to a lesser extent to Jason Koumas and currently to fans favourite Iain Hume. I thought he was a great appointment at the time but now I just want the guy gone.

Thanks for the replies guys. Best of luck staying up, I know all too well what it is like to be struggling down the bottom of that bloody league and it's not pretty. Hopefully we will both be playing each other next season (in league two obviously).

If Baggie had an end product, he would be playing at least Championship level. He is lightweight and does go missing, but his pace scares the living daylights out of defenders when he runs at them. His final pass or cross is where it falls down for him, but I thought he was more than adequate for L2 and has the pace to do well in the lower professional levels. However, if the pitch isn't suitable to run on and/or you hoof it, he's going to be pretty anonymous.

As for Edwards and his Bristol rejects - I'd take Woodards, Gill and Richards over the multiple useless loans of the Micky Adams reign. I still believe Edwards has it in him to be a very good manager and if the rumours are to be believed, he started the season with a budget of £700k, which was a very tough ask anyway without factoring in the prevailing attitude of decline at Rovers following relegation. Rob always came across as a gent and never really complained about his budget, did give young players a chance to start their careers (at the expense of his own start) and the key players in recent months have included Ihiekwe and Odejayi who were both his signings.

Micky started well, brought in a few loans in key areas and looked to have found a decent side with a 352 system. He then got to January, let loads of players leave (including young prospects like Rowe and the aforementioned Baggie) and signed more expensive, more experienced replacements. Brilliant, we thought. Then he switched away from the 352 and just decided to throw as many attacking players in front of his now significantly slower defence as possible and the last 2 months happened. Also, he's going back for a new loan every week it seems and then acting like a total muppet when the local press ask him about it.

Baggie could do well, it just depends on your pitch and playing style really.

Our pitch is holding up really nicely this season, as Bristol Rugby moved to the red half at the start of the season so that shouldn't be a problem. We already have a good winger on loan from Leicester (Dawson) but his contract runs out on April 18th, so if we get to the playoffs then he won't be availiable, hence the signing of Baggie. I partly expected it anyway but from what you have said as well I expect him to be used as a sub especially to begin with and then bring him on in the 2nd half so his pace can frighten the opposition. If you're interested we are playing on BT SPORT on Saturday at lunch time and I would expect Baggie to come off the benc in the 2nd half.

I would liked to of seen Bell Baggie playing off the big man up front as his pace and low centre of gravity can cause lower league centre backs all sorts of problems. A lower league Shaun Wright Phillips, but inconsistent.
