Women writing about women
'05 CL final is obviously up there.

But the best game I've ever seen involved my local team, back in 2005. We had just been promoted to the top division for the first time in 25 years, and were expected to finish dead bottom. Our budget was the second smallest in the second tier, and in the top tier there were players earning more than our total budget. Malmö 1FF had three of those.

Anyway, the champions if I recall correctly, Malmö came to visit and the stadium was packed. Was a beautiful day in july, really warm. I was there with my old man expecting nothing. And at half time, we were 3-0 down. Just about half the stadium left.

We won 4-3, with our captain and local legend scoring a hattrick. He was still a part time mailman at the time. It's still talked about on a regular basis and our season turned around that day. We managed to survive, miraculously, and now we're playing our 11th straight season in the top tier nowhere near the relegation zone. We got a new stadium this season and things are looking better than ever.

I still believe we would've been relegated had it not been for that second half. I'll never forget it.

I remember moaning when I saw Jonno Forte running onto the pitch. Less than 4 minutes later he had scored two goals.

Great scenes in the Northam when Barnard the winner.

the last 5 minutes of the 99 euro cup final, the game itself was a bit pedestrian. Bayern should of put it to bed.

I remembering watching a thoroughly enjoyable arsenal united game a few years back, arsenal won 2-1 but the quality of the game was very high.

the worst i saw a 1-0 opening day of the season dundee vs hearts in the then spl. There were no shots on target and a 93rd minute penalty from elvis won the game. Worst 90 minutes of my life. Awful.

Madrid's win at Old Trafford was quite good.

Attended it would have to be Hull City vs Sheffield Utd in a Cup semi at Wembley. 8 goals and a complete turnaround from first to second half. Cost a fortune but was worth being there.

Hoy I will not have that Dundee have been involved in stale games, they are the Barcelona of the Scottish Premiership! :p

it was the season after ravenilli and burley left and they went down. Absolutely dire.

I saw Burley play for dundee....for all of 15 minutes until he was sent off. ravenilli played too. rubbish by then.

Madrid's win at Old Trafford was quite good.

You thinking of the one Ronaldo scored a hat trick, best indivdual performance i ever saw. But united won 4-3 on the night, lost 6-5 (i think) on aggregate.

Or a different time madrid united game?

Lol I can't make up my mind. Is Johnnytodd a typical Evertonian or is he a Liverpool fan trying to make them look bad?

Chelsea 3-5 Arsenal, Blackpool 2-3 Man Utd and Swindon 5-5 Sheff Utd stick out from the last 5 years or so.

Actually at the game would probably be Grimsby 6-5 Burnley.

Everyone raves about the Liverpool Istanbul final (and rightly so), but the 5-4 Alaves UEFA Cup Final was also completely bonkers.

Uruguay 1-1 Ghana in South Africa was absolutely brilliant. As painful as it was at the time our match with Argentina in France 98 was a belter, too.

Chelsea vs Barcelona 4-2

That first 15 mins was as good as you'll see against Barcelona ever. Dad got me tickets on the front row shed upper....It was literally the perfect night....finished off with a John Terry winner with 10 mins to go.
