Massive game for both teams, we win and we give ourselves a chance, Mansfield win and i think that might be it for us. As Belmont said in the relegation thread, our form against teams around us is pathetic, so it really needs to change tomorrow night.

Dont think even Micky knows what team he will play, probably depends on what names he picks out of a hat. We sounded more solid at the back on Saturday, so hopefully we keep the same formation with 5 at the back, but with a bit more going forward, maybe with Hume and Green back in if they've got over their illness.

The team i'd like to see is:

Fon Williams

Holmes
Ihiekwe
Thompson
Donacien
Ridehalgh

Power
Jennings
Green

Odejayi
Hume

Ill go for 1-1, Power with our goal, 500 Tranmere fans.

Don't suppose any of you Tranmere fans happen to be going anywhere near Manchester on the way do you? :bg:

Please PM if so

Massive game indeed, also think it'll be a draw. 1-1, home side with a late equaliser, Green to score for us (assuming he's fit). Can't make this as I can't find a train back to York, but my away record's awful this year, so that's probably for the best.

Mansfield win. We've played two top sides in the division and battered both of them. We should see another good performance and hopefully score more goals! COYS!

I think a draw is realistic, both sides will be a bit pensive over the result and fearing a loss - a draw would also be good confidence wise for both.

Obviously Tranmere need the win more than we do - a loss wouldn't be critical to us, but it would be very damaging. In relative terms it could still be a good night for Tranmere if they draw with us and Hartlepool fail to win

My away record has been shocking for years. Granted I don't make it to that many but we've won one out of about the last 25 I've been to over the past three seasons. Was planning on going to this one tomorrow but I don't really want to sit through any longer watching this shambles of a team than I have to.

1-0 home win with Mansfield scoring from a corner in the 5th minute.

Who have we battered?

It will be ugly no doubt. Rhead might start which means long ball, I'll take a scrappy 1-0 and then we can forget this season ever happened. We have a shocking side, 50% at least of the players don't seem interested in playing for us or Murray. I can't wait for the summer!

This is Tranmere's big chance, against a team in poor form.

Tranmere will know how massive 3 points would be and I think they'll get them.

Mansfield 0-2 Tranmere

Given Rob Taylor features on the official site as our player who's still up for it, despite his mediocre showing on Saturday, he'll start against his former club. Hume and Green, if fit might come in. Draw seems most likely, certainly not a Rovers win.

Like the rest of the SWA who post on here my record at away games is shit. This season I've seen us lose 5 times and draw once (Morecambe) on our travels. Would have liked to make this, as never been to Field Mill, but it may be for the best if I'm not there.

0 wins 2 draws and 8 defeats I'm on this year.

Don't fancy Adams to pick the right team (well, when has he ever, tbf) - imagine he'll go with 4 up front as we're playing a team in the bottom 6, and then bemoans our bad luck to the press after we're over run through the middle all game and and lose.

See the relegation thread for reasons why I fear the worst for this. Win or bust as far as I'm concerned, although 2 of our last 3 are at home so you never know. (Oh wait, we've not won in 6 at home, so you probably do).
Whatever the score, the best thing about this game is it takes us 1 game closer to the end of what has been the worst season in my life supporting Tranmere.
Mansfield 1 - 0 Tranmere. :(

We've put in some real decent performances at home, and we've also put in some stinkers.

If we can play like we did against Shrewsbury we should be ok

Not just 'cause the game is against Tranmere but tomorrow night I think it will come together after 3 good performances on the trot without any points to show for our efforts. I am going to predict that we will win and we will score 2 or more goals. 2 normally unrealistic predictions. God, I hope I'm not wrong!

Probably a draw but I'd be amazed if Tranmere don't go for it, this is there big chance to put Mansfield right in it both results and confidence wise. If Tranmere just sit back and surrender in this one they deserve to go down.

Initial allocation of 400 been sold, dont know why Mansfield would send so few? And then make it all ticket as well? Seems like a few travelling up and picking their tickets up when the get there. Should be pushing 600.

Did you see how bad we were at your place? Part of the failing that day was that we set up in an over-attacking formation, stupidly thinking York were there for the taking, our forwards didn't deliver, leaving us overrun in the middle and the brittle defence was exposed. If we'd kept things tighter at the aways at York and Cheltenham and were 2 points better off, things wouldn't look quite so grim.
All the sounds coming from the management suggest we will be opting for an attacking formation. It hasn't worked against fellow-strugglers before, but hey-ho, neither has anything else.

Absolutely gutted. He never learns. He had one last chance to change and he didn't - no excuses from me, we're awful and deserve to go.

Sack him now Palios! I don't care that we're pretty much already relegated, he really doesn't deserve a job as a football league manager.

Just got back from this.

Thought Tranmere edged the first half, after we'd missed the best chance of the game after about 15 seconds.

Then we scored a good goal right before half time, after which Tranmere must have had about 75% of the ball. Tellingly though, I don't remember our keeper having a save to make.

He dealt with corners and other balls into the box, but I thought we defended really well to restrict them to no real chances (as far as I remember).

Can't fault Tranmere for effort at all, but we did what we had to, ugly as it was.

It wasn't that bit I was referring to. Although I'm sure you can appreciate that our lot won't be back for a bit to explain their side and I'm sure you don't need telling about your local police.
I was saying F"£$ off for being such a tosser about our current plight. Our fans deserve way more than they are getting and I'm surprised fans of a side who have been in our position would be so quick to dole out such dross.

It's hardly false information. about 50 of your lot were looking for a fight all game. Destroyed an adboard and the coppers had to arrest a couple.
Do one nobhead. Shame they didnt get onto the pitch and smack Micky Admas and a few players around the face, gutless wankers.

The police were provoking a section of our supporters all night, and some kicked off as they were understably pissed off,
