Birmingham and Brentford meet at St Andrews for the first time since 2010; the previous meeting at St Andrews ended in a 1-1 draw in the Capital One Cup with The Blues winning on penalties.
Gary Rowett may keep David Davis in his starting 11 after the former Wolverhampton midfielder impressed against Ipswich on Tuesday. Birmingham will be without Michael Morrison, Gavin Gunning and Matt Green who are all sidelined. Clayton Donaldson will also be facing his old club for the second time.
Brentford may put loan signing Liam Moore into the starting 11. Liam Moore resigned for The Bees on Thursday; the Leicester defender previously at Brentford under Uwe Rosler. Jake Bidwell is available again after completing his 3 match suspension against Blackpool on Tuesday: Bidwell may not return immediately due to the arrival of Liam Moore. Sam Saunders and Nico Yennaris joined Wycombe on loan today which could give Alan Judge to return to the bench. Brentford's only injury worries continue to be Scott Hogan and Lewis MacLeod.
Overall, this will be a tight fixture, but due to Birmingham's current bad form; Brentford may go into this one as the favourites.
