Can't call this one?!

I'd be happy with a point though, anything more is a big bonus to us! We have extra cover at the back now with Liam Moore and Nathan Baker coming in on loan, we also have Luke Freeman back from suspension so we should have a full squad to choose from.

I'll shall be attending with a few others, should be 2,000 or so City there. I'm driving so could any Blues fans help with parking?

Looking forward to this one - not my first time at St Andrews, but it's a very nice ground.

Our team line-up is anyone's guess, but Freeman will be back available for selection, I'd imagine he'd come back in as the attacking midfielder, but where that leaves Bobby Reid I have no idea, as he's been brilliant in Freeman's absence. Moore and Baker should start, possibly Ayling pushed out to RWB if Little isn't 100% up to speed still.

Hopefully we'll have a new Striker in via the emergency loan market, which would be a boost.

I'll go for a 2-1 loss, Bryan scoring a consolation for us late on.

I reckon 2-2 just a hunch. Not going to this as I'm at a wedding this weekend otherwise I'd have considered it. Expecting Baker to come in for Williams at LCB, not entirely sure about Moore starting as well. Reckon Ayling will keep his place unless the plan is to push him out to RWB.

Will be a tough encounter. Hopefully Freeman coming back will give a much needed boost.

Looking forward to going to St. Andrews for the 2nd time.

I have a feeling we will nick a point here at a relatively happy hunting ground for us. I've seen us win there a few times including a 4 nil victory years ago.
While we will probably bring a fair few, I won't be attending. After days and days of a very good mate ripping the piss out of me about being a 'part timer', 'glory hunter', 'turning gas' (yeucchh) etc etc and letting him drive to the Gate yesterday to pick up tickets, I reminded him we have tickets for Madness on Saturday and we can't make both! Luckily, he called me before spending any money.
What a plank!!

No idea how we are going to line up so not going to predict anything. Need to start taking our chances. While at times we haven't defended great, we should of been out of sight in most of our games.

Should be a good day, heres hoping the result is a positive one.

Is 2,600 considered a 'big' away following for Bristol City?

Definitely above average, however we have been known to hit 4k etc before

Took over 5k to MK last season.
I know that, but how often? We've done 4k at least a few times and its still considered a big following for us.

Totally agree Hodge, I can't remember the last time we took that many away previously TBH, Reading maybe, Coventry was nearly 4K IIRC.
Nice to see we've sold out our allocation anyway.

Think Coventry was high 3000's, seemed a lot when in the ground though. Reading was the one that came to mind for me. Really for us anything over 3000 is considered 'big'.

Not really in the context of things, it was obviously going to sell out because of our first 2 games being further up north, so this is the first away game for many.

Being your second closest away day and going on the back of a promotion season, I was expecting a bigger turn-out.

If the demand is there, up to three quarters of the Gil Merrick Lower can be allocated. The normal allocation though is around 3K.

That's all we were allocated. The website stated that as soon as they went on sale fella

Over two weeks ago and you have only just sold out today. Evidently, the 'demand' wasn't there.

Sounds like the demand for the allocation was there then

We'd easily have sold 3000+ with POTD. Hence selling out the 2600 the Wednesday before the game.

The same could be said for St Andrews. When I think St Andrews, I think empty seats.

El Guapo zzzzzzzz.

3-2 Birmingham. We,ll play well again and take the lead twice but lose to a combination of defensive errors and a jobsworth ref.

Football nerds who like to make detailed match predictions... Zzzz

Do you predict that 2,600 Bristol City supporters will chant 'your support is fucking shit' to a half empty St. Andrews?

I hope the ones who ‘boycotted’ Sheffield Wednesday and Middlesbrough make the most of it then.

Thumbs up from El Guapo after his lobotomy and moob reduction.

Funny, hearing you trying to take the piss out of the away following of others. :fl: They're much more likely to be singing "Is that all you take at home?" Your support would be an embarrassment in League 2.

Shoutout to all Bristol City fans brave enough to make the trip to St Andrews. Do remember to get your vaccinations before you set off and remember to wear wellies to wade through the foot deep litter which decorates Small Heath.

Again, I didn't read a single word of that. I am sure Mark will find it hilarious though and will give you a 'like'.
