I liked Helan at Wolves, most of our fans wanted to sign him before the takeover happened.

Bit lower down the pyramid Eddie Oshodi did that for us, said it was to do charity work but a very god-bothering one as I recall. See he's since come back as a part-timer but can't work out if he's still playing. ETA Actually, looking at Wiki, seems he's at Wealdstone. Maybe Jesus likes them.

Always was a bit of a weird one. We had him on loan (surprised he's still only 24, seems like a lifetime ago he was with us), remembered primarily for playing 8 minutes before deciding he didn't like it and being sent back to Man City.

A sulky and withdrawn French footballer? I never heard of such a thing!

Peter Knowles retired from football after a loan spell in America, where he became one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Was quite highly regarded, by all accounts, and remained contracted to Wolves for 12 years after his retirement in the hope he would change his mind. In 1982, he was finally 'released' at the age of 36.
