Birminghams away record this season is utterly pathetic so we couldn't really ask for a better game to bounce back from the defeat to fulham. However they do actually have a pretty decent side so I'm not quite sure why they have bern so shit. I think if we perform how we have been we will win and I see no reason why we won't do. Should be a cracking atmosphere too with it being a 5.30 kick off and no doubt may well be interesting off the pitch as well.

Blades 3-1 brum (Leon hatrick) 27,765 (2234 brum)

Birmingham have been terrible at scoring goals this season
And we are well overdue a clean sheet.

So I’m pretty confident Birmingham won’t score......ok maybe one for Adams.
Ex player Adams will probably be booed much of the match, it often means they score.
And I’m also pretty confident we’ll score at least 2.

My prediction 2-0 Blades, we are due a clean sheet and Sharp is due a goal.

Pre-sold tickets sales on the website suggest it will be the biggest crowd so far this season.

I’ll go for an attendance of 28,623. Apart from the upper tier behind the goal (which was closed off on Police advice) it’s virtually a sell out.

Can see why Birmingham are down at the bottom and struggle to score goals mainly because they don' even try too. 2 shots and 1 corner in 90 mins ffs. On the other hand I thought they defended exceptionally well in stopping us create clear cut chances. We were obviously by far the better side but due to there defending I'll say they deserve a point. But if that's how they set up or are going to set up I doubt they will win a single match away from home. Players like jota must be wondering what he's done, such a quality creative attacking player and not getting chance to show it. All in all 7 points from 12 from the month so pretty decent, onto millwall away next week.

1 point in 2 home games against a mid table and a struggling side, Owlstalk would be in meltdown if that was us. Hopefully this is the start of the end for the Blades, as it is the only thing we can take please in this season.

Wanted us to sign Jota in the summer, what we'd do for him now. You play some good
Football, but Birmingham nullified your wing backs threat and as you say defended well. Is that 13 for Harvey now?

We scored 4 goals and lost on Tuesday a complete freak game. Today we were by far the better side just couldn't quite break them down, a team who spent about 15m this is. If we score 1st in that match we win it don't we. I can assure you this is no start to any horrendously bad run, were too good for that as you have seen for yourselves. Brentford and Fulham have come to bramall lane to win no one else has and only Norwich and Brum have stopped us so far. We are well in the hunt for 2nd place and imo will remain in it.

If Wednesday played fast positive attacking football creating loads of chances but lost Owlstalk would say something like “someone’s going to get a pasting sooner or later”.

It’s the poor entertainment, slow sideways passing and lack of shots on target every match that’s causing the most concern, not just the results.

I’ve always said take one-off results with a pinch of salt, don’t mean that much.
It’s performances that count, they are often an indicator of future results.

We played reasonably well against both Fulham and Birmingham in 2 entertaining matches.
So the signs still look good for a top 6 finish.
Top 2 looks a struggle though, we don’t seem quite the same without Paul Coutts
Although to be fair there doesn’t appear to be any outstanding teams this season apart from Wolves, so 2nd is still up for grabs.

I’m still really confident we’ll finish above Wednesday who need a change in manager.
Think too many players are in the comfort zone at S6, they only seem to show effort and desire when they go a goal behind. Never know though, get Forestiari back in January and things might click.

Regards tonight’s match.

We looked well in control 1st half and it seemed it was only a matter of time before we scored
Then out of the blue Birmingham score a beauty, a long range shot then Birmingham sit back packing their defence and hoping to hit us on the occasional break.

We struggled for a spell last season breaking down packed defences in league 1 so we went out and bought 6ft 5 inch James Hanson, he’s our equivalent of Wednesdays Nuhiu. Hanson is a limited footballer but wins loads of headers and flick ons causing massive nuisance value. His inclusion worked well for us in league 1 when teams got a goal, then sat back.

So maybe we should have thrown Hanson up front as sub.
Although to be fair Birmingham defended really well and made it difficult.
Still enjoyed the match though, in spells we passed the ball really well and had Birmingham on the ropes. Now we move on to Millwall away and hopefully a win.

Agree with the above, we came to spoil and frustrate them hopefully pinch something on the break. Almost executed perfectly.

Encouraged by the spirited defending, it’s a platform we’re going to need to have any chance of getting out of the mess we find ourselves in.

Pretty pissed so may be talking bollocks, but I'm now 90% certain you will finish above us.
At the start of the season would have backed my mortgage on us, shows how far you have progressed but also how far we have regressed. Sorry Carlos but it's time to go.

I don' think Coutts would of made any difference whatsoever yday. I thought lundstrem had a decent game and was easily just as Good as the other midfielders. Tuesday was just one of those silly games what don't really need looking into.
