Just what is it about nature documentaries that so effectively tickles folks' easily pleased spot?
Is it cos you can convince yourself that cabbaging out in front of a slickly produced montage of fish is performing a moral good?

#peakyerdaNot watched one of these in years, but the last time I did it was manipulative, gimmicky and with a sentimental, ear-piercing soundtrack designed to pull at the heart strings. Also the fact the actual viewing time is cut now down to 45 mins for the US market, so 15 mins is dedicated to a 'making of', is frankly ludicrous.
I don't mind Springwatch, Winterwatch etc, but even that is getting worse tbh.
Carel how can you art and not appreciate your master. All is one and we marvel at it's magnificence. Sick program. Mainly interested in the deep stuff and fortunately it just so happens to be the next episode. We know more about huge radius of space than we do the deep ocean. We should stop at nothing to find the access point to the inner earth.
Couldn't believe it when I saw that fish. Blew my mind.
