He's bundled into the back of him, clumsy defending, it's a penalty.
There's no where near the forced to send someone to the ground, it's pathetic and I wouldn't expect a penalty from it at the other end

Lean into the defender then drop down arching your back to make it look like you've been pushed. Oldest striker's trick in the book, referee's fallen for it on this occasion.

Not that it mattered anyway. And for the record Freeman's is never a pen either

Freeman's could've been a pen, but it's hard to tell because he's such a twat with exaggerating his fall. He rarely gets pens and that's partly the reason.

It means that by the book, it's a penalty, however you try and dress it up.

Yeah, didn't even appeal at the game and when people mentioned it after I had no idea what they were on about. Never a penalty.

Agree to disagree, football is becoming worse by the year and you can hardly tackle a player any more

Yeah was saying that in the pub afterwards. Even when he is fouled like at Brighton the way he goes down puts that bit of doubt in the ref's mind

Yeah, it's gash mate, but by the letter of the law in this day and age the referee has got it right there.

Freeman needs to pack it in too, he's a good player, although seems to be taking his time making the step up, but his amateur dramatics are a disgrace, same as every player who does it

Well at least it's got this to the 2nd page. There was a worrying period back there where it looked like a City matchday thread wasn't going to be the busiest of the weekend!

I honestly have no idea how anyone could think that was a penalty. Yet another decision gone against us - luckily enough, this time we weren't punished for it.

Obviously not a penalty.

A shame to read about our lack of creativity but not unexpected when our '1' in the '3-4-1-2' cannot create. With Williams on one side then if Bennett and the strikers are off form we generally wont score in this division until Reid plays. He has double the assists in about a tenth of the time compared to Freeman and should undoubtedly be in the team.
