First played in 1969 which ended in two draws, can only see the same result today as we have 5 strikers injured and our only two ball playing midfielders are out for a long time

Up the super Whites

Sounds as though we've caught you at a good time, would definitely take a point.

Ah, a latent kind of arrogance. We might actually win you know.

In fact, I believe I'll go for a 3-0 win for the educated Yellows.

Steve Davies and Wes Thomas, neither really given a chance under PP last season both score past Bolton in the space of a few days

What the hell has happened to Bolton?

Good job they got off to such a fantastic start otherwise they'd be in the relegation spots.

Good performance and result against a very physical and direct Bolton side. As the game went on we got stronger and stronger and there was really only one team in it at the end.

A special word for Bolton fans. You'd better wake up fast to where you are, and learn a bit of humility, or you will make life even more difficult for yourselves than it already is. All I heard before the game from Bolton fans was "we should be beating teams like Oxford" and "we'll get back on track with an easy three points". Who the fuck do you think you are chaps? You came across as arrogant and patronising, and need to realise that Big Sam, JJ Okocha, Ivan Campo, Kevin Davies et al are all long gone along with the Premier League. You're where you are on merit and don't look all that on the evidence of yesterday.

Before this game I had no particular feelings toward Bolton, one way or the other, but enjoyed putting you in your place and seeing your stadium empty after our second goal. Enjoy this League as you might be in it for a long time, if you can avoid relegation that is.............

Met some Bolton fans on the train and they couldn't have been more sound. Ended up having a drink with them in their bar. There's always a small section of support who give it large on social media.
Anyway, the first half is one of the most tedious affairs I have ever witnessed. In the second half Appleton seemed to realise they posed little threat (0 shots on target all game) threw on Sir Wes and Macca and then we piled on the pressure and broke the deadlock
We still lack a top quality frontman, but I think we'll do alright this season and are a good outside chance for a play off spot

Bolton remind me of when we went down.

Think we won something like 7 games on the spin really early on and then Neil Mellor, Iain Hume and Jamie Proctor all got injured at the same time. Phil Brown had no plan B, ended up getting sacked and we appointed Westley to finish the season in 14th, followed by the worst year since i've supported PNE.

Parkinson seems a steady appointment but I don't think he'll take them up.

Difference being you were still scoring goals, we couldn't hit a couple of barn doors if we tried

Madine injured? He's useful at that level.

Should be ok when you get Zac Clough up and running, properly.

Bolton are doing a Coventry. They also thought the league was won after August. Give my regards to Andrew Taylor. :D
