Most Carlisle fans are now accepting that the playoffs are out of reach, with just a slim chance of other teams screwing up and us winning our 4 remaining games. Luton have improved a bit since Still was dismissed, but you'd think the train has pulled in just too late, with the Hatters 6 points behind with 12 to play for.

A great win for Luton at the weekend leaves them only 2 points behind us, and while we've gone backwards since Christmas, they've gradually made improvements on the pitch following a poor start to the season.

Suspensions and injuries will ensure a few changes for us on Tuesday, how we line-up is anyone's guess. I'd like to see (fitness-permitting):

Utterly pathetic performance first half, slight improvement in the second. Zero attacking threat until Jabo came on and we showed some intent, but there's not enough quality.

I echo HG's comments, it felt like a friendly match. At least that's the season over now, no more false hope. Huge improvements needed for next season.

I think we need to look beyond a simple clear-out of players, we were doing so well before Christmas with mostly these same players and those who have come in since have arguably been an improvement on what we had (Comley, Stacey, Hope etc) but performances of others have dropped and as a team we've been nowhere near as good. 15/16 decent players don't suddenly all turn shit together.

We started slowly, perhaps as players gelled as a team then hit automatic promotion chasing form from September through to December and have been on relegation form ever since, we may have improved overall from last season but we're ending the season on worse form, yet I doubt anyone would argue we have worse players than we ended last season with.
