Failure to win this home game on Saturday means we'll have only won three home games in 12 months.

Again not arsed how it goes, probably an unchanged team unless Dull Davis puts that donkey Ray in. Burton will win 1-0. Fans will sit and take it.

Well, at least our dimwit fans can't use the "they've got a bigger budget" excuse. Although Burton probably have.

Still, at least we've got a Cat 2 academy and Burton haven't, that's whats important. Doesn't matter that there will be a whole league between us next season, we've got the better facilities, so....:fing::ffs:

I actually think this will be harder than last night against the Blunts. Expecting to get something from the game but you never know !
Can't understand Crewe with Davis in charge.

1-1 or 1-0 us.
It's going to be a tight game.
If we score early then I can't see us losing. If we don't then who knows.

Basically like rubber necking at a car crash watching Crewe these days. Shouldn't watch, get absolutely nothing from it and it's utter grim... but just can't help it.

I hope John Bowler puts the Burton chairman in his place on Saturday anyway. His reckless ownership causing promotion and shit. Unbelievable incompetence.

Should be a comfortable away win for us.
I won't be attending one of our closest games due to sunning my old bones in Gran Canaria.
It's a hard life at the top :)

Bet Burton don't spend upwards of £3 million p/a on 87 'Management, Players and Coaching Staff'...

Our Category 2 Academy is nothing more than a bureaucratic failure and it's hilarious how much money we're pissing away through it.

I expect Crewe to win this as there is no pressure on them because on paper it seems an obvious win for Burton. Also Burton aren`t any good really are they.

Don't worry Crewe, in the grand scheme of our current form a home win today followed by us winning at Bratfud Tuesday is the way it will probably go.
So 2-1 Alex it is then, plus I like you lot more than Bratfud, so anything we can do to help you will be handy.

BTW, Crewe fans. Is that Steve Davis twitter account not the worst? Whoever it is really struggles with the parody aspect.

I'd argue that the 'crewe news' one is the worst I've seen. That's clearly run by a 13 year old who thinks he's 'diehard'.

Hope today dispels the myth held by some of our deluded fans that the undroppable Turton is a good CM. Good luck to Perry Ng at RB as well.

Point gained. Whoever thought this would be a walkover was living in dreamland. With other results it's turned out to be a useful point too

Another dreadful game.

Don't think there had been a chance before we scored and that was fortunate. Good move, but it was only their defender almost scoring an OG and it hitting the keeper and rebounding to Haber that allowed us to score. Thought after that we looked relatively decent, Inman should have done better with a good opening. Looked secure until we concede a sloppy equaliser as per. Nugent gives away a stupid foul in the build up as per and not sure what Guthrie, Ng or Garratt were doing, it was a very poor goal to give away. Rest of the first half was a non event.

2nd half, thought Burton improved and gave us a bit of a tough time, but we evened things up after an hour. Burton had some pressure late on and were the only team who looked like winning it, but we held firm all things considered.

That being said, it wasn't a good performance form us. Front 4 were dreadful. Haber, you never know where his headers are going to go. Hitchcock showed 1 or 2 nice touches, but looks awful. Cooper did nothing and Inman didn't want to know, looks knackered and looks like he's given up. Jones and Turton were alright in midfield which was good to see. I don't believe Turton is a midfielder, but I seem to be in a minority on that one. He deserves to start next week. Bakayogo had a good first half but poor 2nd. Ng had a terrible 1st half but decent 2nd. Not sure how he's getting praise though, his performance was ok, nothing more, nothing less. Guthrie was once again oustanding, shame he went off, although he walked through the main stand after the game, so thankfully he looks to be ok. Not sure how he didn't win MOTM, our best player yet again. Thought Kirk showed flashes of ability, something there hopefully.

Holy hell though, how poor was Nugent? Absolutely atrocious, how he didn't cost us a goal was a miracle. Gave away silly free kicks, couldn't find a red shirt, got a daft booking. Awful, should never have started. Maybe Steve can redeem himself by dropping Ben next week. Interesting that Davis came on over Ray in place of Guthrie though, considering Ray has been training for longer and has played more U21s football than Davis in the last few weeks.

As for Burton, they showed nothing today to suggest why they are top of the table. I know they are and deserve to be, but still, the quality of this league is bloody awful. Still, rooting for you, Burton fans. Hope you see this through and have fun in the Championship next season. You are the model way to run a football club and are getting the rewards for your patience and sensible recruitment on and off the pitch. Best of luck for the rest of the season lads.

Oh well, on we go to next week.
