We boo all the time, always have done since I've been going tbf.

Decent numbers, shite support.

We're exactly the same weve basically just given our keeper that much stick he's had to be removed from the team. I remember some of our fans booing after drawing with everton in the prem thats how mongy some of them are. Booing individuals is completely wrong just because there not good enough , booing individuals when they have the talent but just arent trying and arent bothered is acceptable imo. I recall abusing my team on 5 occasions which in my opinion were all fully deserved.

Crystal Palace away championship relegation season lost 1 nil disgraceful effort shown that day.
Scunthorpe away championship relegation season was 2 nil up lost 3-2.
Rochdale away last year lost 2 nil possibly the worst I've seen us.

England away in barcelona at ht v Andorra it was 0-0 no need to say no more on that.

England against Iceland this year was by far the most irrate and pissed off I've been at a football teams display and I've still fell out with football because of it.

0-0 with Andorra at half time

Think it was 0-0 at ht both times we played over there. There were about 11k England fans there it's safe to say they took plenty of abuse as they left the pitch

Only booed my team once; during a performance when there was such a clear lack of effort and resignation to relegation (and inevitable liquidation, meaning they'd be free to find other clubs).

Hate it when fans boo their own players though; psychology within football is huge, and that act can really hit a player hard, and his teammates too and create an 'us vs them' feel on the pitch.

Really pissed me off last year when a bloke booed because we were losing (admittedly getting tonked) by Spurs; the effort was there we were just getting done by a much, much better team of footballers. After the success we've had there is no way we can criticise the squad.

I was at England-Iceland in June as well; couldn't even be bothered to boo in truth after that grabage. The effort was there but the players just completely froze

Was refreshing to see at Birmingham last Saturday. We went 1-0 down to them on the Saturday just gone, and it would have been so easy to boo them off at half time (under past managers we had done at that point without hesitation).

However this time we clapped then off and chanted support to the players. 2nd half came along we were a completely different team, eventually winning 1-3. Just shows that there is a good alternative to booing, and I'm certain if the fans did boo at half time that we wouldn't have won the match.

I don't boo my own team and that's the end of it, and God knows I might have been forgiven for booing on several occasions the last few seasons. If I can't think of anything encouraging to say then I just keep my gob shut. I'm there to get behind them, and if sometimes there's not a lot to get behind that's no excuse for slagging them off. What's it going to acheive anyway?

Anyone else think that booing is a really weird thing to do? I completely understand having a good old rant at someone, that's just a human instinct. But booing in itself is actually a really odd reaction - quite camp as well! Also, angry chanting is in the same bracket for me. Who gets angry and then puts their vitriol to a tune?

On Tom Flanagan - quite liked him when he played for us for a bit. Liked him even more when he had his meltdown for MK against us though.

I regularly tell Nicky Maynard to fuck off, and Flanagan when he played for us after that Gillingham game.

I would never boo a player for the reason you've given, they should get your full support and I've never understood why some fans are never willing to give a player a chance. Personally I would never boo one of our own players anyway as it's not helpful in the slightest and actually quite embarrassing, the last time I remember it happening at Hillsborough was to Darren Purse. Which I thought was bang out of order as despite not being very good he always gave his all and was a good bloke. If and it's a big if Forestieri ever plays for us again I expect he will be booed by the mongs.
Can you not remember Jay Bothroyd then?

Some people booed us off the pitch at half time. It was a minority and harsh on our players. There was no lack of effort, but Villa were quicker, had better movement and won every second ball.
All changed in the second half though

Booing every game at Ewood. I suppose it's undeserved, it's not the players fault they're that bad enough, they play for us.

He had a good game to be honest, can't cross to save his life though.

he's a decent player, has potential but it seems w are trying to move forward rather quickly nd he wouldn't have progressed quick enough.
crossing isn't great, but he can pop up with a decent long shot from time to time

Can I ask why?

The people who booed us off at half-time really don't understand football tbh

Our fans are morons. Lost count of how many times we've booed them off. Individual players getting booed is not on, Kelvin Wilson got it last year badly.

We have hounded out Nigel Doughty before by the abuse he got at a match prompting him to sell up.

Stephen Henderson left Twitter last week after a month at the club cos he got dogs abuse too.

Our dickhead fans are the loudest.

its fairly ironic that Johnson, a player who received a fair share of boos during his time here now has his name sung throughout the ground

Not just booing a player. Other ways these techno days:
There was a story about Matt Sels the goalkeeper who hasn't done well since signing and going to front of goalkeeping queue. He was dropped after allowing a dreadful late equalizer and he was supposed to have been raged at on Twitter. And Newcastle fans on Twitter were saying "Eh ?" There had been usual comments that Darlow should be in who'd done nothing wrong but abuse ? No.
It turned out some unnamed person NOT Sels had an account claiming to be him and made a thing about how he was closing the account due to abuse he got.
But it WASN'T him and turns out it likely was a rival fan trying to get a media story where there wasn't one. Or the media itself maybe. Not beyond them.
Booing a player ? Known it a few times. Never ever should be done. Counter-productive.
