To add some perspective; 8 years ago yesterday was Eddie Howe's first game. We lost 2-1 away at Darlington and were, from memory, on about 10 points or so.

Where we've come since then is frankly miraculous, and yesterday's performance is a testament to the work he has put in in the last 8 years. We are ninth in thr top flight after all. Ninth!

I personally thought the game changed when King went off for Surman. King was providing a great outlet and pressing the Arsenal defence who couldn't play out.

Well that was a bit shit, thankfully we railed but we were dreadfull for the first 70mins or so. Bournemouth were fantastic and pressed us everywhere.

I thought their third goal was a bit shit, especially considering Frasers challenge on Bellerin was a carbon copy of the penalty.

As for the sending off. I think it's a straight red. He misses the ball because he goes OVER THE TOP of the ball. Pretty sure that's always going to be a red?

I read tonight thay our appeal for the card has been rejected / the 3 match ban upheld. 3 matches! Then you go and see Pedro make an identical tackle in last night's game and receive just a yellow.

Still, if it means Howe is forced into putting Adam Smith in his proper position and/or look at one or two other defenders we have, maybe we'll come out of the 3 games with another option or two. Maybe Jack Wilshere can fill in as our captain for 3 games!
