Running out of things to say now, and the energy to keep mulling it all over.

We almost had one foot over the promotion line on Saturday, but a 95th minute penalty was a huge blow. Now we likely have to win both remaining games, home to Bolton and away at Charlton.

We're dragging ourselves along, at times a complete bag of nerves, but now and again calming down and showing flashes of the quality that put us in this position. In both our last two home games, it's taken us going behind to calm us down and focus on being our best.

We can't keep giving ourselves that mountain to climb. Yes we managed it against Birmingham and very nearly managed it against Sheffield Weds, but for the love of god Bournemouth stop making it so hard on ourselves.

There's every chance we'll be in 4th place come Monday night, which again gives us a mountain to climb, at least physiologically.

Bournemouth 3-0 Bolton

Callum Wilson (p) 10
Callum Wilson (p) 57
Callum Wilson (p) 84

Eddie Howe is furious in his post match interview, demanding an explanation to why Bournemouth were only given 3 penalties and not 4.

I'll stop now :surr:

If I'm being pedantic. I'd have to point out that Wilson doesn't take penalties

He just wins most of them ;)

Yeah after I posted I thought it was Pitman or Kermorgant who takes them

6 Years ago this weekend we beat Grimsby to secure our Football League status. Nobody there that day would have predicted the journey we'd go on. It could all come to a head tomorrow night, a ridiculous journey.

Really feel for Bolton's fans with this being moved to a Monday, completely ruins a last away day of the season. Hoping for a small away crowd and a team in holiday mode with very little fight in it.

It'll be tense and nervous, probably not a great game of football for the neutral to watch but we will need to find a way to win.

Heskey is just the sort of striker to leave our defence on the floor all game long which is a little concern...

This is 100% your promotion party. Enjoy it, and well done. It's absolutely deserved!

It's over - Middlesborough's desperation and throwing that point away in the last minute at Fulham has allowed you leeway to cock up now - should you need it.

Bournemouth 3-0 Bolton

Howe has one call to make at right back due to Francis being suspended from that red card Saturday. Options are either Adam Smith, who has played as a winger most of the season to good effect, or moving Steve Cook right and putting the experienced Elliott Ward in the middle. Seems a risk to break up the central partnership, but Smith isn't really ideal at full back either and Ward might be handy against Heskey.

Anyway, we just need a win. And somehow I doubt we're going to have it easy.

Good luck to Bournemouth, they've deserved this shot at it and think they'll edge a nervy game tonight, just don't let Yann Kermongant take the pen if it's tight.

Wilson to dive and win his 11th penalty. Oh no, wait there's a conspiracy against him, isn't there? ;)

Would have been the dream start if Wilson would of tucked that away within 2 minutes.

Good chances at both ends already.

1-0 - Pugh.

He's been a threat since minute one on that left wing - played very well.

Took his goal very well also.

Top performance from Bournemouth so far, deservedly leading. Despite the money spent, what a fantastic achievement if (when) they are promoted to the PL.

Couple of nice goals. Job half done. For the entertainment value of it, I would quite like Bolton to get one back early, just to keep things spicy and test the Cherries metal. Obviously, that's not good for the health of Mark and co though, so apologies lads.

Only a bit over 3 years ago I was sat in the freezing cold on a Tuesday night watching us lose 2-0 to midtable Bournemouth in League 1.

Fair play to them:thumbs:

Pugh is so incredibly good on both feet - so hard to defend against, you can't send the bloke onto one side, as he's so incredibly strong on both.

Happy for Bournemouth fans, hope they enjoy every second of it but this is just another shit-show in terms of how the football league is covered by the media and how any sort of FairPlay regulations are rendered pointless.

Another training ground routine nearly pays off for Bournemouth - Cook inches away from registering a 3rd.

Bodgan's preventing this from being 6's and 7's - a fantastic goalkeeping display on show.

No doubts about this one although - taken out from behind.

Deserved penalty, and rightly sent off.
