Hope it's a better quality game than last weekends' Stoke draw. Suspect it may not be much different though. Need to make sure we get something to setup an improved final placing on last year. Burnley haven't done much away all season, so it'd be typical for us to help them out.
I think Lewis Cook can play this one last game before he goes off to play with England u20s in S.Korea, and god knows what we do in midfield for next week. I'd like to see Mousset start again in attack.
Was sad to hear of the passing away of one of our most recognisable characters this week, bloke called Paul Willis who any away regular would know as: the guy with all the scarves / all the shirts with 44 on / the bloke at the back of the bus with the thumping dance music going all day. Part of the furniture on any away day going back as long as I've been going. He will be remembered tomorrow.
Are there any Burnley fans on here? If so, can you tell me why Flanagan hardly gets a look in? Bit of a pointless loan if you ask me. Especially considering Lowton gets in ahead of him and he was awful for Villa last season.
Contrive to miss chance after chance at 1-0, which would have killed the game. But the second it goes 1-1, we're straight up the other end to bury a second clinically as you like.
Sucker punch for Burnley fans.
Not sure what Heaton was doing for the first, from my angle Stanislas' quite speculative effort looked comfortable for Heaton. Then it snuck in. Good accuracy or poor goalkeeping I'm not sure.
All in all we probably deserved the win for all our second half chances, but Burnley will be disappointed to lose two points in that way.
Nice to see Sam Vokes, made a decent player of himself.
