We are riding the crest of a wave at the moment and have struck upon a winning formula. Unfortunately that formula could be disrupted by hamstring tweaks to both King and Stanislas, the two players who've made us tick recently. They've been working so damn hard that it's not hugely surprising that they may have broken down and need a couple weeks of rest. Just unfortunate that it comes over this busy period. They'll both face fitness tests I think. King's injury will mean a starting place for Glenn Murray, which isn't a bad thing.
Adam Smith has become unstoppable on the right flank recently, together with Daniels' form and given Palace's wing threats that are well documented, the game could be a tasty battle on those flanks.
I gather Palace have Wickham injured, so I guess Gayle comes in, and as said they are good away from home. I'd take a point for sure, although I know Howe won't and he'll go for it as ever, which will be music to Palace's counter attacking ears. But that's how we roll.
Should have won that, Murray wih a hat full of good chances.
But take the point, Palace quite good over most he pitch although they had nothing to unlock our defence in the final third. Impressed with our defending recently.
A lot better game than the scoreline suggests. I think we could Have nicked it with one or two excellent chances but a draw was probably fair, we were hanging on at times towards the end. However how tight we're looking at the back compared to a month ago is a revelation.
With Arsenal and Leicester to come anything from these three games was a bonus so to sit half way to 40 at this stage with the problems we've had is a very nice bonus indeed
