Two hard fought struggles against West Brom and Watford have seen us reach the likely survival mark of 37 points. Neither game was pretty, both were poor performances. We aren't in brilliant form. On top of that we've picked up 4 or 5 injuries in recent games. In particular two of our better players this season in Adam Smith and Junior Stanislas are both out until the summer now. We've done well on the injuries front this season but it's caught up with us now.

I'd be quite happy with a point here, Palace on their day are a decent outfit and they've pushed some good sides really close lately. My impression of Palace rightly or wrongly, has been that they don't always turn up against the lesser sides compared to the good sides. So maybe their level will drop slightly compared to last week, but if they do turn up they have every chance of something against us currently.

Bound to be a close game in my view, both teams play attractive attacking football when given the opportunity, both teams can be a little flaky in defence.
Let's face it, never mind league position, both teams could really do with a W to guarantee PL next season, so the motivation is there. I'd like to see the Cherries prevail, but this does look very much like a draw as Palace have played well in defeat recently....

Palace were asleep first 10 mins and we could have gone a fair way putting the game to bed but missed 3 chances. Since then Palace grew into the game and look dangerous without creating anything. Game is rather flat, an air of end of season lethargy.

Palace could have buried the game but Begovic kept us in it. Another below par performance from us but another result. Considering our lack of options on the bench given injuries im well happy with the result. And the only cards we could play, King, and Mousset as ever, made a big difference.

Think Palace will be disappointed not taking their chances at 1-0 and 2-1. Still they should be fine

Big result for the Cherries, no other team in the lower half of the table managed a W (okay apart from the Barcodes). As I said a W was the preferred result for both teams, but still better for Bournemouth than Palace. Safety for Bournemouth I say, Palace still have a fight on their hands but I suspect they'll be okay...
