On paper this should be as straight-froward a win as they come.
A team in terrible form who frankly look a mess, with a manager on the brink (and a touchline ban to boot). This should be as simple as they come.
So I think we'll lose. We'll smash them all game, hit the woodwork 10 times, and then the inevitable John O'Shea header from a late corner will condemn us and keep Moyes in a job for another week.
Of course, I hope we grab an early goal and see another Hull-type performance. Score early and we could see another collapse (hopefully).
We're shite
Sunderland are shite
Mike Dean is utterly shite
What a poor half. IF we can kick up a gear or two we'll be fine, but Sunderland grow in confidence the longer we're so poor.
A fittingly farcical end to The Mike Dean Show (tm) in the end. And no less than we or Sunderland deserve.
We contrived to miss every type of chance you can imagine, couple one on ones, couple of goal mouth scrambles, a free header from 3 yards ffs. Comical stuff. Wilshere, Afobe, Cook and Stanislas hang your heads in shame at those misses.
Sunderland fought and worked their arse off, never gave up and in Pickford have an excellent keeper. The win is a credit to their resilience and clinical finishing.
This needs to be a kick of the arse for us. Defeat against both Boro and Sunderland not good enough, and we enter a tough run now.
BTW it should not have been a red card for my money, very harsh. But made absolutely no difference to the game anyway.
The pen I need to look at again, but think it was more moronic defending, as was the first Sunderland goal, laughable defending.
We got given a load of hype after a few good results, now we'll rightfully be given some stick after a couple shocking afternoons. Maybe we believed our hype, or maybe we just run out of juice. But the pace has massively dropped off.
And Mike Dean, physically incapable of refereeing a game without making himself the constant centre of attention and constantly blowing up for something. He's a narcissistic twat.
But in no way should that excuse the result or large parts of our performance.
BTW, we lost at home to Aston Villa and Newcastle last season...
