just been confirmed that Mark Lawn and Julian Rhodes are stepping aside to make way for German investor Edin Rahic.

He's been involved with Stuttgart at some level as a Scout recently. No one knows his worth, but it must've cost him circa £6-£10m to buy the current co-owners out.

Takeover to be confirmed on Tuesday.

Exciting times ahead for City fans.

Supposedly a £10m investment to get out of L1 then onwards from there.

The good thing is, there is always a level of suspicion surrounding foreign investors; however we have no assets to strip, we own nothing. The only way they make money is by taking us up.

Rhodes and Lawn already said they would only sell to someone who have the ability to take us up a level. Therefore, it's pretty exciting. Bearing in mind the only way anyone can make money from us is on field success.

FYI Notts fan, these are actual people and not some random with an allegedly forged letter.

Good to announce it early and not have it dragging out all summer.

Definitely trust these guys to do it the right way and not just throw money round without thinking. Don't think the Germans like to waste money so I wouldn't expect things to happen straight away. Question for Bradford fans is, would you trust Parkinson with a budget?

Our boys printed fake certificates to say they had $2 trillion's worth of North Korean gold, coal and iron.

Now that *is* exciting, not just a couple of German lads with very average linkedin profiles.

Well, enjoy yourselves fighting relegation to the abyss and we'll look forward to pushing for the championship. Each to their own.

We were pushing for the Championship 3/4 years ago. I still didn't really enjoy it. I enjoyed Alan Judge though I guess, I love Alan Judge, fucking hell I miss Alan Judge.

I do enjoy the League 1 >>> League 2 taunting though as if you've got summat to brag about. It's a bit like 'my Dad would batter your Dad' if your Dad was blind and mine was a quadriplegic.

Thanks for Jon Stead by the way, you should have done the integrous thing and shot the slow camel last summer.

No probs. And you've also got 'sheez dog' too. Sheehan had a bad attitude so was glad to see him go.

Why would anyone trust a new owner? They're bound to come out with all the usual bullshit that they know fans want to hear.

Have a word with the Charlton fans on their foreign owners

I 100% agree that no one can put full trust in new owners, but... Because we don't own anything, no ground, no training facilities, it's not like these guys can come in and asset strip, the only way these new investors are to make any money are to put a few quid in to start with, so from that point of view it'll be nice if we can try and compete with with some of the bigger spenders in the league

That is exactly the position we are in with Lee Power - albeit without the dosh!

He is making his money from buying cheap and then selling big. It makes for a continual rebuild with the obvious problem with replacing the good ones with dross - see us this past season.

He reckons he will only make money by getting us promoted although I can't see how that works just going to the Championship.

He has bought a golf course from the proceeds of player sales, a part of which will be transformed into our new training facility.

It just seems to me we are in permanent flux.

Anyway, good luck with it all.
