My first visit to Bradford ... not expecting much ;)

If we win this then our delusions of making the playoffs survive another few days, lose and our holidays start now. It's the sort of game that against all expectations we might win, even without any strikers that can actually score...

I'm off this week so will probably go. A point would be a good result.

With the state of their pitch i can't see us going there and getting a result, we'll definitely need a far better performance than the one we gave on Saturday either way.

I don't think the pitch plays as badly as you'd think. I wouldn't like to see us alter our style of play to counteract a potentially imaginary issue.

I'm sick of hearing about the pitch - it's no bowling green by any stretch, but it's not exactly an unplayable surface.

The way some go on, you'd think their playing style is not too dissimilar from Barca.

We fanny about with it outside the box in the same manner but usually without the same result.

Only on our really good days.

I haven't seen the pitch close up but it looks fucking terrible on TV and we are a better side when we get the ball on the ground, that isn't comparing ourselves to Barcelona, just a fact. Maybe it plays better than it looks but whatever, i still expect it to be a test for us.

Would take a point, if only to keep the City fans at work quiet.

Working in Leeds now this is an easy one for me on my way home. Point would be good if we can win at Yeovil Friday.

Pitch does look like something you might plant seeds on. Definitely hindered us at Peterborough on a bad pitch.

We're so contrary I'd say we're more likely to win tomorrow than beat Yeovil and Crewe :D

If we get 4 points then we bang in the race come Easter Monday and that game v Crewe will be massive.

Every team says the pitch will hinder their playing style, then they get here and play as much hoofball as everyone else and the pitch has zero effect.

It looks shit and it's a bit bobbly but most pro footballers tend to get accustomed to these things after 30 seconds.

'Orrible place, 'orrible pitch. A win would be lush, but we absolutely must avoid defeat to keep the season alive. Get the job done, and get out.

The pitch thing gets massively overplayed - there are several teams in this division (and even a handful in the Championship) with awful pitches at this stage of the season, not just us. Coventry's a few weeks back for example was like a beach!

As for this game, simple really - need to follow up the good win on Saturday with another 3 points here, which we're more than capable of doing.

Depends which team turns up though - the one that battled well to the end on Saturday or the one that has in recent weeks looked pretty flat.

Bradford probably has some of the best bars I reckon, a good selection of real ale bars including the newly opened Bradford Brewery.

Maybe. Not much use midweek though.

Would 100% snatch anyones hand off for a point here. Just have a feeling we will get well beaten and i'm usually fairly optimistic.

Few mates have made late decision to go so i'm not guna be sat on my own - hopefully few others will do likewise and we have a decent following there - as decent as it can be for a midweek trip

I'm going. I've only been to two league away games but I'm off work this week. I also expect us to lose.

Would take a point now.
Given the weather at the moment, gales and its lashing it down, England on the box tonight, a Good Friday, Bank holiday awayday at Yeovil, a few are doing the weekender trips, I cant see anymore than 450 being there tonight.
Town have been numerous times and we never seem to get anything there.
3-0 Bradford

Well we've not lost in the last 3 times there.
However, we've not drawn in forever so that's what I expect tonight....

Unless I've missed one we've won and drawn in the last two, lost 3-0 the previous game.

Who can forget the amazing 3 goal comeback in the last 5 minutes as well?

One of my favourite away day memories.

I remember us being awful for 80 mins and then just suddenly turning it on in the last 10. We had a decent-ish team back then, just a pity the better players always seemed be loanees (JCR, Clingan etc) who would leave us after a few months which would begin the predictable second-half of the season slide down the table.

Think they could pull one out where we went 2-0 up then lost 3-2 at their place :(

Not expecting anything tonight, I don't mean this to sound like Bradford are a bunch of footballing neanderthals or anything like that cos they're not but I think their height will be too much for us from set pieces.

Preferred it when Chesterfield fans used to say 'if we turn up we will win 4-0' then not turn up and lose. Not liking this pessimism.
