Terrible game. We had a 20 minute spell in the first half where everything looked great, but the second half contained some of the worst football I've seen from us this season. Carsley's subs and formations really didn't suit us at all.

It's going to seem like a very long time until our key players come back from injury.

Djuricin was great, looked dangerous, chased down everything, but didn't get any service at all. Judge tried his hardest, still one of our best players, but we massively miss Jota and Pritchard. McCormack was terrible.

We just look so very very easy to beat at the moment.

This is going to get worse before it gets better.

I wonder how many Brentford fan's posts in the past month and in the near future will contain the word 'injury'....

Agreed. The one good thing is that I'm still sure that when it does get better, it will be great!

The one thing that worries me most today was the lack of fight from the players when we lost a goal. That hasn't happened for a long long time, we've always shown a good response, and have been one of the best teams at getting late goals, even with Marinus earlier in the season.

Also, for Madjeski. "Injury" :)

At least it's them and not us - otherwise it would be a hell of a lot worse on here for other fans.

I had a ticket to the original fixture ~ before they relaid the pitch and were allowed by the FL to postpone that match ~~~ 6 DAYS NOTICE.

Sacking a manager a day before a Home Match is pretty stupid. imo.
Give him a "Fiinal" if need be, but don't expect a trainee manager to get a "new-manager-bounce' on such short notice.
The " mathematical-modelling" of recruitment etc was Warburton's reason for going last season.
Their next manager obviously couldn't assimilate this disparate policy into a team.

Lee Carsley is numeric-blind, I knew the guy, liked him, as you do when on best behaviour :bg: but never in a month of Blue Moons is he going to sort or format total strangers ~ who have been brought together by an owner {Benham} who relied on an American philsophy of stats recruitment.
That forced Warburton to give ample and courteous notice.
Saw his successor sacked after 8 games.

Owners come and go, but the sellers always take the dosh, and ruin managers and players along the way.

Lee C doesn't have a chance with Benham in charge. If I was him, I'd avoid this "opportunity" and clear off.
Go back to Cov or Blues Lee.

The statistical approach of this season is the same as it was last season under Warburton. Warburton voluntarily left the club because he wasn't to be given a veto over transfers. That's it, the whole of it.

This season has seen us have an injury crisis - we had virtually none last season, and like Bournemouth, were very fortunate on that basis - as well as feeling the full impact of FFP; we simply can't compete with almost all other clubs in this division in terms of finance. These events of this season have all been further undermined by some underwhelming recruitment (staff and players) and we now find ourselves in this desperate situation.
