Odion Ighalo.jpg Odion Ighalo- Scored 9 goals in his last seven appearances for The Hornets.

Brentford and Watford meet at Griffin Park for the first time in the league since January 1998 when Watford beat The Bees 2-1; Brentford will be looking for there first win over The Hornets in 38 years.

Alan McCormack may be able to return to the Brentford starting line-up but may have to fight for his place as Moses Odubajo has impressed whilst covering McCormack and for seconds Mark Warburton's men have barely put a foot wrong in the past few months only losing 3 times in the League since Christmas. However, McCormack may replace Nico Yennaris on the Brentford bench. Brentford are likely to keep to the same squad that beat Leeds with only Alan Judge, Lewis Macleod and Scott Hogan sidelined.

Slaviša Jokanović will be able to welcome back Almen Abdi and Fernando Forestieri to his squad. The duo returned to the Watford squad against Blackburn last week but could return to Jokanović's starting 11. Sean Murray and Joel Ekstrand remain sidelined for The Hornets. Odion Ighalo will almost certainly retain his place in the Watford starting 11 following his 9th goal in seven games against Blackburn on Saturday.

Overall, this will be a tight contest and possibly a high scoring one with the teams scoring 102 goals combined this season and Watford being the second highest scorers this season; but if Brentford are to continue recent form The Bees should come out victorious.

Predicted Line-ups:
Brentford- Button, Bidwell, Dean, Tarkowski, Odubajo, Douglas, Diagouraga, Pritchard, Jota, Dallas, Gray
Watford- Gomes, Cathcart, Angella, Hoban, Paredes, Layun, Watson, Munari, Anya, Deeney, Ighalo

First half red card for Bidwell, never a red.

Watford on top though, we're lucky to be 0-0

Watford deserved the 3 points. We had chances to win it, but they had the better game overall, even if we were largely denied by the red card

If anything Brentford played better with 10 men than 11 looking pretty dangerous on the break.

Naturally we dominated most of the 2nd half but thought Deeney's penalty was going to sum up the night - thankfully we have a man in real goal scoring form to nick the points for us.

Not a great performance and I guess the red card will be the talking point (looked high from where I was though) but a vital 3 points against a good side.

Sounds like a dodgy red card in Watford's favour this time then..? Funny how things work out, perhaps even sooner than you imagine!

Watford were the better team when it was 11 v 11 and dominated really when they had the man advantage in the second half, so I have no problems with the defeat. The red card was a bit soft but you just can't dive in at all these days, annoying though that Keith Stroud couldn't wait to get the red card out, terrible refferee. Great moment when Andre scored that cracker though with all the players running over to Warburton to celebrate. I thought we might hang on for a draw when it got to 90 minutes but it wasn't to be. When the opposition can bring on a player of Vydras class as a substitue and all we have is a young kid on loan from Everton it shows just how well we are doing to be where we are.
