You should be bricking it, we'll have Shola Ameobi by the time we play you next weekend.

Must say it's surprised me how poorly all the promoted sides have done so far. Good for us obviously.

I thought Preston had a reasonable team. Who's getting the blame? Grayson still not up to it at this level?

The promoted teams barely strengthened at all, that's the problem.

Think they all have at least one key player out injured too?

We're missing Beckford, and more recently Gallagher.

But having said that, we're simply just not good enough.

Far too early to be pessimistic.

You've got us at ours soon and you have a reasonable recent record here from memory.

2000 W 3-1
2001 W 2-1
2002 W 1-0
2006 L 0-2
2007 W 3-1
2008 L 1-2
2009 D 1-1
2010 W 2-1
2012 L 0-2

We've actually played a lot better in the recent run of four straight defeats than we did at the start with 7 points from our first four games.

That's football...

Seen enough in recent weeks to believe we'll be fine.

Grayson's tactics have been woeful in the majority of games so far.

His decision not to sign another centre back and midfielder is currently biting him in the ass too.

Losing Beckford threw a massive spanner in the works and the last few games have shown how important Paul Gallagher is to us.

Too early to piss and moan but a big improvement is needed.

Sadly it's not Shola Ameobi. It's a lesser-known player, Sean Ameoba, He's an Irish lad, was at Blackpool last season. He's the one who was replaced by the geezer on a mobility scooter in the home game against Huddersfield. He once scored in Barcelona at his lesbian cousin Daphne's hen night. She married for money, in the end. Anyway, it turns out that was all wrong as well: seems she was a thespian, not a lesbian.

Actually with our defence you'll have a field day against us this weekend. Garner will get his first couple of goals for the season

Makes me laugh when I see Kourtney Hause and Ethan Ebanks-Landell linked with Premier League clubs, fucking shite the pair of them. And to think we sold Richard Stearman in favour of playing those two...

All are worse than they were last season. Our squad is pitiful, MK have lost Ali and Preston are without Beckford.

Still expected Preston to have gained more points by now but I think they'll come good eventually.

Is Hause really that bad or is just still learning?
He looked very good at a level below and certainly has all the physical attributes to make a good centre half.
Not doubting you, just asking as I am genuinely surprised.

I'd say the loss of Gallagher has been more pivotal. When Gally was fit we were playing well and creating chances but since he's been injured the chances have dried up and we are completely reliant on DJ to score us goals from 20 yards out.

I believe for MK that it's less about the loss of Alli and more a case of missing Ben Reeves for the last month. It's no coincidence, IMHO, that results have been disappointing even though the standard of play has held up well. He gives us a driving force that we don't get from Rob Hall, Dean Bowditch or Sami Carruthers - all who have been used to try and plug the gap. Happily, he looks ready to play a full part now.

It's more to do with the fact all three are a bit shit at a guess and there is a gulf between leagues.

I don't think it's a massive gulf, but obviously there is one. Once our new signings have settled and we have a couple of players back from injury I think we will be able to give it a fairer assessment. We've been unlucky in games so far but I still think we're a defender and a midfielder short, that said, no one has outclassed us.

I couldn't name you our best eleven at the moment and neither could Grayson, a settled team is key.

It was tongue in cheek but there is a gap, and this season it is surprisingly more highlighted if you look at the table.

I've no doubt you all have players capable of getting you up the table but my main worry would be the managers, two have experience at this level but their records are patchy at best whilst the other has none but sticks to his principles, that could his downfall.

I will assess Preston after this weekend of course, you've got three of our cast offs and we were bang average last season.

I'd happily take just below bang-average as long as it means we avoid the bottom three.

I'm probably being too harsh on him to be honest.

He has made a few mistakes for us this season, as has Ebanks-Landell, but they're both young and learning as you say. In a way I feel sorry for them, they've been thrown into the deep end with the ridiculous decision to sell Richard Stearman. I think he will become good in time, but for now I can't really see us going far with players of his quality in the squad.
