Bob Peeters new look Charlton team travel down South to Brighton this weekend. Charlton are currently 5th in the championship, whereas Brighton are 13th. The last time these two teams clashed was towards the latter end of last season, when Brighton beat the Addicks 3-0 at the Amex. But in the reverse fixture a Lawrie Wilson brace helped Charlton overturn an early goal to win 3-2. Recent form suggests a close encounter as Brighton are on a two game winning streak (Three if you count the capital one cup on Tuesday) and Charlton are undefeated in the league.
Charlton are most likely to field the same team that played against Huddersfield, with Frank Moussa almost guaranteed to come on from the bench. Charlton have no new signings as of this week, but Brighton have signed long time Charlton target Sam Baldock from Bristol City. Charlton go into the game with a near enough injury free team, apart from first choice goalkeeper Stephen Henderson (Who has started training again), but hopefully this will not prove to be to much of a problem as 22 year old keeper Nick Pope has laid claim to the post with some impressive showings over recent weeks. Brighton's main injury concern is Kazenga LuaLua who limped out of Tuesday night’s Capital One tie at Swindon Town. Brighton boss Sami Hyypia is hoping that he will be fit. Kemy Agustien, Solly March and former Addick Dale Stephens are also expected to miss the game due to injury.
Charlton will most probably stick to the the same 4-4-2 formation that they have been using to great affect in the league so far this season. My prediction 1-2
