Finished 2-2. Definitely 2 points dropped for the home side. Still Bournemouth have shown resiliance. They could have easily lost this but didn't. This will prove useful in their fight at the bottom.
Throughout this last month we've shown a lot of guts and spirit. After a string of batterings against top sides and injuries in every department, we've earned 5 points all from set backs, comebacks, having conceded daft goals etc. And in all kept fighting until the end and scored goals later on, with today's being positively early by recent standards!
We'll stay up not by quality perhaps, but by grit and fight.
That said it would help if we could get one or two additions in this month. I make it 5 starting 11 players missing today, compared with Brighton's clean bill of health.
^ Probably Jose's best game for us, despite failing to kill the game off with his 1-on-1. Hope he can kick on from that display.
A pretty stressful watch though I'm guessing quite entertaining for the neutral. Had the chances to win comfortably but didn't take them and Bournemouth came back strongly (especially the final 20). We couldn't seem to keep the ball for long enough to relieve the pressure and the second equaliser seemed inevitable. Bournemouth have some quality attacking players tbf - Ibe, Cook et al caused us no end of problems with their direct running. Surprised they're not doing better on that showing - we normally look a lot sturdier at home.
Gutted not to take 3 points but then we never do against Bournemouth, I should just come to accept it.
Plenty of encouraging signs nonetheless, but we need a couple of key additions in Jan to help us turn these home draws into wins.
