The Wednesday
Nice little trip to one of my favourite cities this weekend, always love a visit to Ashton Gate, and I'll miss not being in the old East end, though my knees won't miss those backless seats.

We've won four in a row but under City are a different beast to the team we beat at the start of the season, can see it being a tight game with us improving defensively of late, Flint remains the big threat at set pieces.

We are unbeaten down at AG in our last four and it's one defeat in eight, though we've only won twice in that run so a draw is my prediction, I'd take that, any point at this stage is valuable.

Expect us to lose, and won't care if we do as long as Rovrum beat MK. Just another game to tick off hopefully.

Wednesday looked light years ahead of us on the opening day but both sides have had dramatic squad changes since then. Don't really fancy us up against a potent attack with our shaky defence.

Same team as last night if Korey is good to go again on Saturday.

0-2. Joao and Hooper.

Straightforward away victory. We are little more than cannon fodder for top six teams (unless your name is Middlesbrough).

Another solid 2-0 win for Wednesday. They didn't look great at Hillsborough but we didn't show up, same again.

I'll take a point from this one as Wednesday are a good side. We are a lot better than we showed on Tuesday so this should be a great game to watch.
2-2, Tomlin and Flint for us.
Safe journey to those travelling South.

Boys, it's been 7 years since I ventured to AG on the train, last two were minibus trips, any recommendations on pubs?

Always been in and out and werre slagging Redfearn off for half a season, so that's utter bollocks.

Sorry to do this to you pal... But just a quick look at your posting history shows that you are lying. You didn't post from the beginning of August until mid December which co-incided with your upturn in form. :)

Walkley Owl - Haven't been back to Bristol for a couple of years now so I don't know if things have changed, but providing you don't start any arguments, the Nova Scotia and the Pumphouse on the waterfront were always good for away fans. Lovely on a sunny day!

There's a Wetherspoons as you get off at Temple Meads, but your best bet is probably to head through Bedminster. Plenty of pubs on route, just follow the river down to the big roundabout and head left past the big Asda, there's a pub called the London Inn which is dirt cheap, there's another Wetherspoons and The Masonic. Short walk from the ground as well.

The masonic? I definitely wouldn't recommend that for away fans unless its changed a lot in the past few years! A lot of the old timer "boys" drink there.

Whats the name of the pub just opposite it? Forgot the name. Always saw a few away fans in there.

91 North St, I think.
We've given Walkley loads of options (I PM'd a few last night) so I'm sure he'll find a suitable watering hole.
Enough about hostelries, COYR.

It's still a rundown shithole as always, but they'd be fine if they keep themselves to themselves.

Easy so far, all Wednesday possession and all City chances.

Johnsons tactics have worked a treat.

Christ, that came as a shock. Wednesday looked pretty with the ball, especially Bannan who is a fantastic player, but weren't very penetrative. Nuhiu was ineffective up against Flint and they didn't really have much else in terms of a cutting edge.

The first goal came completely against the run of play and we were clinical from there on in. Individually, Matthews, Tomlin, Reid - superb. O'Donnell made a cracking save from the 1 on 1 in the first few minutes which turned out to be crucial. That goal goes in and it's a completely different game.

Think Wednesday will be fine in the POs, they were just undone by some clinical finishing. Cracking day, 10 points clear now - we're safe. Have to get Tomlin in permanently, he made a mug of their RB numerous times.

Cracking day.

We looked dangerous on every break...wouldn't have been surprised to have been 4 0 up at half time. Job done. Onwards and upwards!

The Wednesday
After the save from O'Donnell with McGeady City came back into it and deserve all the credit for their win, I left at 3-0 so the second half is non negotiable. I'd love to whinge but that isn't my style, Tomlin was better than I've ever seen him, the through pass on the second was clinical.

Referee was fair if a little picky, impressed by the New Gate but noise wise it was poor despite battering us. Be nice to see that west stand finished.

Cheers boys
