Atmosphere is absolutely awful down their atm. Top of the league and I find myself saying the same thing every week.

God I miss that stand!

That's how I understand it. Away fans will stay in the Atyeo, eventually having all of it (if needed) while the new South stand, redeveloped Dolman and cavernous new Williams stand will be home only.

With a 27,000 capacity, I think we have to give over 10% which would therefore be 2,700 of the 4,249 Atyeo.
We've always gone for the maximum amount of netting to segregate so we'd probably black out 500 seats minimum - it'd only leave 1,000 home fans if we ever split it (and internally that'd require some work being done as well).

I know what you mean Tommy but with 23000 home seats, not including the Atyeo, I can't see the point unless we ever reached the top flight.

When redeveloped I can't see home fans being offered the Atyeo at all really, more than enough seats in the other 3 stands and keeps separation of fans easier if away fans have the Atyeo to themselves.

Is that all? I fell through your old away 'stand'. It was a bloody death trap!
I thought it was going to blow over on the opening day in 07/08 season!

Are you seriously attempting to have a go at my clubs away facilities? LOL. Defensive for utterly no reason.

But for the non idiots amongst you, glad it's happening as it's been a long time coming. Look good when it's finish, was starting to take shape when I drove past it last week.

I got it too seasidekurt, I know you meant nothing by it and took no offense. And to be honest, it was indeed a bit of a shithole but we have very fond memories of the place and a lot of us spent our childhood there. So maybe people are sensitive about that, I dunno. Thanks for the well wishes anyway!

Whilst passing the gate the other day and seeing how imposing the new Eastend is stating to look certainly brings home how massive the new Williams stand will be.

Although all starting to look good at AG ..... We must be quite behind schedule now, I would guess ?

Am I imagining it,or was East end ( new) supposed to be finished by May ?

At the start of the season, I was praying we'd scrape into the playoffs and hopefully - if ahead of schedule, the new South Stand could be opened.

Was a stupid, unrealistic idea anyway, and I bloody well hope we ain't taking part in no playoffs!

The structure itself looks about a third finished, and then theres all the interior stuff. Im no expert on this kind of thing but id guess there will be a slight delay.. Maybe we'll be seing it a few weeks into the new season? It will be worth the wait anyway!

I don't see how they can manage that Luke. The contractor has already said it will need to level the old Williams and take a full year to build the new one so that isn't an option, yet, they cannot sell ST's in the new South stand if there's a risk of it not being ready. We could end up starting a potential championship season with a 9000 capacity!!
I have no idea what the club will do re ST's if the new SS isn't ready in time.

I don't want to be biased but that video is top class! Well worth the watch.

So happy we're staying at Ashton Gate.

Wow .... That is some rebuild, also gives an idea of the revenue that can be earned outside of the football / rugby with all the conference areas, reception areas and boxes etc ...... Wow
