I believe Williams will go on to be a good Championship defender, but to say he's better than Flint or the best defender at the club is absurd.

Better than Flint, Ayling, Baker, Pearce, or El abd ?

Yes all day long.

No Ive always said that I don't rate flint.

He can deal with ariel threat with a punt up field.

He has a nasty temper on him that is go to get him a serious ban.

I just don't like him much

You mean the player who has barely been booked (for a CB) in his time with us?

You have only named one player at our club...
Williams is a solid player, but not better than Flint (at this moment in time) and not better than Magnusson either, not by a long shot

Still trying to wrap my head around what the fuck happened today. Kodija going, now apparently there's been no bid that matches the "valuation", First-Half we get outplayed by a premier league quality Aston Villa, Second-Half we outplay a League One quality Aston Villa.

Seeing as how I can't quote JoshBCFC I have to agree Williams was better than El-Abd.

Kodjia's first name is Anthony according to the women who presents the Channel 5 highlights.

Hordur Magnusson, Jonathan Kodija and Callum O'Dowda all called up to Iceland, Ivory Coast and Ireland respectively, while Wes Burns has been called up for Wales U21's.

What did City have to pay for there sell on fee?
£11m - £2.2m = £8.8m, sell on fee could be anywhere between 15% to 30% so £1.3m to £2.6m I'd guess leaving at least £9.2m of the initial fee for City.

also depends if it was a straight sell on, or sell on of profit

You'd have imagined profit, seems to be the general agreement unless its a free transfer ie Mawson and you'd have imagined we'd have tried getting the same clause on the other end with Kodjia and Villa.

I'd like to think we went for percentage of next sale, rather than profit. I don't see Villa selling him for a profit in a few years time, not after they spent £15m on him.

Says profit on our website and I think its from the £11m mark as well as the other £4m we may not receive.

I can't remember us doing a better job in a transfer window yet. Everyone who has come in has made a positive start, we've lost deadwood and made a killing from Kodj and the Bolasie deal. If we can get two decent strikers tonight or tomorrow this has to be the best transfer window we've had since they started 10/15 years back. Finally we look like a competent outfit in the transfer market, kudos to Ashton and the team.

If we end up looking back on it as a better summer than 2014, selling Baldock and using the money to buy 7 key players in a title-winning team, then it'll have been one hell of a season!
