Aren't they only opening it if 'need arises'?
I fancy the back of the lower tier myself. Everyone seems to want upper tier at the front.
Yeah as and when needed, but should we still be in the championship, games against Cardiff and relegated teams will more than likely need it.

Nah season tickets won't be sold up there I expect, but I don't have one this season anyway, just got a membership this season.

Thinking about it, it's not likely to be such an issue as this season with 27K+ seats.

That's the difference with AG and Ashton Vale; we've no hotel and the Dolman (for such a large stand) will be purely match-day and nothing else when the concourse is redesigned.

You think the club wouldn't do too badly with just buying up the Dreams/Wickes site and redeveloping that as a further "entrance" and part of the site. Hotel and parking structure ... do it SL, just do it.
Bloody hell Tommy, how spot on were you? I've heard that is exactly what SL is doing. Fair play to you!

Promising times ahead, if only the team could start performing.

The enormity of the new Williams is going to be ridiculous.

As are we Walkley!
2nd upper raker in and what looks like the start of the lower tier as well. The steelwork is going up at a fair old rate.
I guess the smaller diagonal steel at the top is the start of the roof support?

This is a good 'un. Bear in mind the flats in the foreground (Nelson Mandela house for those Only fools and horses fans) are 12 stories high and the top of the steel can (just) be seen above.

Looks good if a little poncey 'Sports Bar and Grill' and 'Coffee Shop' aren't usually synonymous with football stadiums.

Pretty sure they're open on non match days as well, so looking at more income and use than most.

I think you are right. Not too sure about the coffee shop myself but the sports bar and grill is superbly fitted out. I may try and get in there myself tomorrow for a swift pre match ale.

Personally, I feel that 655 posts in 9 months on this topic of momentous import for Britain's sporting legacy isn't nearly enough.

I urge Bristol City fans to post more photos, videos, memories of 'the Gate', how your three little piggies were bested by wolfie, dates, sad days, happy days, and wiring diagrams for the Sports Bar & Grill.

I am going to ask if this thread can be stickied so it's at the top of the Championship forum.

Easy answer Herts, just don't read the thread.
It's been going for nigh on 5 years in various guises on this forum, the L1 page and the previous forum and nobody complained until we were up here WTGR.
I appreciate it's not big news for you but it is for us.

No chance! PIGGIES RULE!

Thanks for reminding me though, that has to be the funniest thing I've ever seen at a football match!

Huh? If I didn't read this thread, I wouldn't be able to keep up with the news. Brick by brick. Seat by seat. And I wouldn't see pictures taken from 3 miles away of a piece of steelwork poking up 18" higher than a block of flats.

Personally I think it should all be made into a film.
