Haven't posted on here in a while and noticed there wasn't a match thread for Saturday..

Everything about this match is saying away win (and it could be a thumping as well). Boro have kept 9 clean sheets in a row and I can't see this run being troubled by our attack.

After Tuesday, it is the lowest I've felt as a city fan for quite a long time. A squad which is undoubtedly weaker than last season and it is looking pretty much impossible to attract players to join us in to what is going to be a relegation fight.

Saying that, stranger things have happened in football and I would never have expected one of our 4 wins this season to come at The Riverside. I would be absolutely ecstatic with a point from this but I really can't see it happening...

city 0 - 2 Boro

Just seen the video on Facebook of Coterill losing it with one of your own fans near the tunnel after the loss to Preston. Surely a big defeat here and this is the end of him in charge? Once it starts going sour in public between manager and fans - that's it.

We've had the upper hand over Boro for the last few years. Not Saturday though. 0-4.

We're gonna get gubbed!
0-4.
Albert Adomah to get another bollocking from Karanka for saying something nice about City as he will get a great ovation.

The video was not good at all! I agree that normally when something like that would lead to the departure of a manager. Cotterill isn't going anywhere though. He isn't really the problem IMO he's doing the best he can with the players that he has available. He might be slightly one-dimensional in his tactics but that really isn't the main problem. The reason we are in this mess (and probably going down) is due to the lack of recruitment. We are going to yo-yo between championship and league 1 until this issue is resolved!

Surely the lack of recruitment is down to him? The money is obviously available, he's going after unrealistic targets. He'd be better spending £1mil on 9 players than trying to spunk it all on one marquee signing

Or we could sign 180 Arnold Garita's with that.

Money for signings is certainly there Tom as it's only wages that are covered by FFP. We've supposedly bid £5M for the Lyon front man for example. The issue seems to be that we are aiming far too high and won't / can't pay the wages that these top signings want. Once the stadium is finished, our bottom line moves up by a fair amount meaning we can spend more on wages. FFP dictates that we cannot at the moment making our targets unrealistic.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere wages weren't the problem CU. Surely we know what sort of wages these players demand before we bid?

As for the Lyon striker? Absolutely laughable!

You would have thought so bud. We are wasting so much time chasing unrealistic signings that we are leaving no time for more realistic signings that could keep us up. Totally deluded would be my adjective.

Would be mad if you actually managed to sign Beauvue though, especially so if you then got relegated!

Like we're gonna sign Beauvue! £5M players want more than £5K a week.
We should just bid for Bradshaw, Pratley and Dack and be done with it.

Oh jeeee 0-3 at least unless Karanke plays the ressies again.

One thing for sure is there will be a 10 page Adomah rumour thread on OTIB within a few days.

Might have been wrong about Cotterill going nowhere hahahah

1-0 City.

Not even joking. Typical City in such a shit season to do over the runaway league leaders. Did the double against Southampton a few years back. Thumped Palace and Cardiff the year we went down. Beat Newcastle first game after Johnson was sacked.

Lump on it.

My thinking as well. Plus we seem to be a bit of a bogey side for Boro. We've won our last 3 against them and we've had crap sides every time!! The players will be totally up for this one, Boro will underestimate us and we'll claim an unlikely win.

PS: Sorry to nitpick but that Newcastle game was a 2-2 draw. It was an absolutely fantastic game though!

Nobody has royally shit on Cotterill imho. It's the nature of the beast these days... you win 4 games in 26 then proceed to angrily confront fans and you're out on your ass. I'm not a fan of Dawe either though. He needs to be replaced with somebody who has a footballing brain. He clearly doesn't.

My first game down the Gate due to the avalibility of tickets and price, will be interesting to see how it's changed.

Where does the Abus pick up from after the game these days? Is it possible to cut through to the south stand round the back of the Dolman or the new stand?

Brace yourself mate, you'll be in for quite a shock! Pics don't do it justice.

Bus picks up behind the South Stand, down the Winterstoke road past KFC.

And no you have to go all the way round, though you can often go through the concourse after the game. Assuming you're in the Atyeo?
