First home game of the season I'll be missing, how gutted I am...

Need some sort of reaction from this one after last weeks humiliation. Our next 4 games are Blackburn, Huddersfield, Derby and QPR. When you think we had Rotherham in that run as well, on paper it doesn't look too bad. I'm not in the 'Cotterill out' camp just yet, and the fans are being very patient with him to be fair. I said from that run of 5 games we need minimum 7 points, or I think he's going to be under pressure, and I'll preserve judgment but if we don't get that amount of points, I'd possibly be tempted to change just before January, as we're going to need a fair few crucial players in crucial positions to get us out of this rot.

I'd love to see a formation change for this one, 4-2-3-1 with Bryan back in on the left, Bennett on the right and Freeman in the middle. Back 4 of Ayling, Moore, Baker and Williams. Nothing against Flint, I just think whilst we have Moore we should give him a go, he's done it in this league before.

Pack suspended, which will probably mean Bobby Reid comes into the middle. Not over the moon with that, think he's an exciting player but not as a central midfielder, we're already lightweight enough as it is in there.

1-1 draw.

Kodjia, Rhodes.

14,687.

I hope to dear God that he is fit, I struggle to think where we'd be without him this season.

I don't have much hope for this. It's dependent on the first goal though. If they get it then our gutless bastards will crumble, again.

I just wonder whether that without Kodjia the rest know they can't hope for him to produce something special (like what used to happen with Adomah) and they may pull their fingers out their asses and put in a good team performance.

Blackburn will have that extra spark that lasts for a little while after a new manager. Meanwhile we have no f**king spark at all.

Blackburn win. Draw if we're lucky.

Narrow defeat. Jordan Rhodes being the difference!

I'm still fuming we've totally fucked our momentum with this Summer's shambles. It could be our downfall, very much a possibility.

It's always one step forward and two steps back with Bristol City FC

Also missing this one due to family commitments, don't really know what to expect. I'm predicting a 2-1 loss.

Someone on OTIB said things aren't so bad because a few years ago we lost 4-0 at home to Wolves. Only for someone to point out that we were 4-0 down at HT to Fulham.,

Blackburn have more quality than us in every area of the pitch. They should win but there's bound to be a reaction to last Saturday so I wouldn't rule us out completely. Ill go for a 1-1 draw.

January cant come soon enough for us.

Hmmm. That team vs this team... Don't think there's much in it to be honest but I do think we have a better chance of staying up because our relegation rivals are poorer than in that season, and Cotterill is far more experienced than McInnes was.

Usually when I come into a thread as depressing as this I'll be all like 3-0 City Ooh Rah, but tbh I don't fancy us here either.

On the plus side seen some sneak peeks of latest developments in the South Stand concourse. Can't post anything up but I think City fans are going to be pretty damn impressed with what they see on Saturday

Pack suspended? That means another week of Freeman then.

Bobby isn't suitable to replace Pack but he will and he'll no doubt create more chances than Luke ever will.

I hope Kodjia isn't rested as he's our only hope but perhaps he can do damage from the bench.

Dull draw. 1-1.

Bryan will play where Pack is. Didn't that happen earlier on in the season? It's all been a blur.

3-1 Rovers. Rhodes with two, Lawrence with the other.

Just got back from Finland and will be at this one. No idea what Cotts will do re replacing Pack, maybe play JB or the loan bloke from Villa that never plays (can't remember his name).
Another home defeat, unfortunately, 1-2.

Change of plan today - I am now due to unfortunate events going to be in attendance. Not expecting much.

Team I'd like to see today, assuming Kodjia is fit:

Fielding
Moore Flint Baker
Bennett Ayling Smith Williams
Reid
Wilbraham Kodjia
Wilbs got a fair amount of stick but, though bar Rotherham we haven't played badly since he's been out of the side, we have looked far less creative and Kodjia's been far less influential. I think there's something in the idea Wilbs occupies defenders and allows Kodjia the space to do what he does. Also, it's no coincidence Kodjia's suddenly picked up a few bumps and bruises in the last couple of games.

I'd bring Reid in, but for Freeman not Pack. He's not a defensive midfielder, if you're going to give him a chance you've got to give him a fair crack of the whip and play him in his favoured position. Got a bad feeling he'll be put in there and when he inevitably struggles as he's not suited to the role he'll be deemed not up to this level and that will be the last we see of him.

Wagstaff could be an option alongside Smith, but I didn't particularly rate him at CM down in League 1, wouldn't fancy it in the Championship. Alternatively Bryan could slot in there, he did alright at Ipswich, but I'd push Ayling forward and bring Moore in

Agree with that CH, Ayling will give us solidity in midfield. I would be surprised to see Bobby in for Luke Freeman but he does deserve a chance.

Poor game between two poor sides. I'm can't really understand our purpose? We're distributing the ball short from goals kicks, knock it about for a bit and then hoof it long? Agard and Kodjia have just been isolated. Need to change something on the left as well, Williams doesn't have an attacking bone in his body and Notting is going down that side.

Text my Dad before HT saying Baker would be sent off, didn't take a rocket scientist to forecast it. 3 or 4 late challenges, was inevitable.

Gutless fucking bastards the lot of them. Awful management, and awful all over the pitch. Whereas earlier in the season we were creating shed loads of chances with being defensively incompetent, we're now just defensively incompetent without that attacking edge.

Utter fucking shambles, one way ticket to L1.
