5:15 KO, not a bad game potentially for the neutral given both of our table positions.

They smashed us at home last year and in honesty I'm expecting a repeat.

Fielding
Matthews, Flint, Magnusson, Bryan;
Smith, Reid;
Paterson, Tomlin, O'Dowda
Abraham.
City 0-3 Brighton (Knockaert (2), Murray) and probably a shite home crowd. Would be surprised if we exceeded 19k.

How many you bringing Costello?

Exceeding 19k isn't a shite home crowd for Bristol city it's far more than you could of ever wished for until this year.

Only because 19k was about the legal capacity of the old Ashton Gate. You'd expect more this season with us doing relatively well and the new stadium.

Yes I know but there was still never 19k there. I'd guess maybe once or at most twice a year for the big games.

No, not if we were doing well in this division.

2007/08 we had 18k+ eight times.

I don't see us taking a huge number if I'm honest. 1500 maybe?

Very wary of this one. Saturday was stunningly brilliant, probably our greatest win of the Amex era, but this is just the sort of fixture that'll probably bring us right back down to earth, as the Championship likes to do.

We're no-where near as convincing away from home generally and despite the 10 clean-sheets so far, Dunk and co will need to be right on their game to keep the likes of Abraham and Tomlin quiet.

EDIT: Just remembered there are train strikes on Saturday - knock a few hundred more off that estimation then.

Can only see a loss in this one. Hopefully we wont be playing with a makeshift or inexperienced right back this time.. The way Brighton targeted Vyner last time and helped themselves to four goals was just brutal.

Not confident for this game, especially after Brighton spanking Norwich last week. Think we will lost, with baldock scoring the winner.

It's written in the stars.

We've sold 18,000 so far haven't we? Also I expect us to score, just a case of how many we concede, a Brighton team high on confidence and in good form will be hard to keep out.

Can't afford to concede first again here. Reckon we should just put 0-1 on the scoreboard so maybe we start playing from the outset

Great marker on our play off aspirations. A draw must be favourite, a win would be unexpectedly great and a defeat will show us as probably not a true play off team.

I hear Knockaert may be out due to a family bereavement.

1-1.

Yeah Knocky lost his dad today - has had a real tough time of it the poor fella, having also lost his brother a few years back.

Not sure of the likelihood of him featuring on Sat.

Brighton sold nearly 2k apparently. Gate will be 20k you'd imagine then.

All I know will happen is Johnson will change the line up again ( good job as he got it wrong last week) He's our equivalent of the tinker man. One of main reasons why I think we struggle so much in the first half and why we are yet to really get going yet. He wants us to play a certain way, yet doesn't allow the players to get an understanding of each other on the pitch..........yet we are 6th. Very strange division.

Um 2-0 City.........

Mostly the latter. But a little bit of the former. We havent played well since Fulham.
Looked half decent against Leeds and alright against Hull when they were sitting back on a two goal lead, other than that I agree with you.

I think youre on your own there with that thought Aaron. Maybe the Hull cup tie we looked decent but thats it.

The Leeds game was a professional, solid performance. Forest at home was a poor first half but excellent second half and we deserved the win. Cardiff was a poor performance, but they had the Warnock effect so it wasn't such a shock. QPR I wasn't there but apparently we didn't play well. Blackburn, very dull game but we ground out the win with a clean sheet. Hull in the cup we played well and then Barnsley on Saturday we were awful first half but again, second half we played well.

Shocking, we won't be turning this around. The majority of the team don't look like they can be arsed. And to think I've been in the dog house all week for opting to go to this instead of the fireworks
