Come on lads, I want to visit the completed Ashton Gate next year if our play off bid fails :animatedf:

Ipswich like to keep it in the air, don't they?

Massive win. Thought we actually played better against Brum but it's about sticking it in the net, about time Flinty got back on the goalsheet!

Nervous start to the 2nd half but after Pitman's goal we responded brilliantly, looked to take the game to them rather than sitting back, and always looked comfortable from then on in.

Get in there!

A result seen a mile off. A second January in a row where we haven't strengthened in January and we will pay for it, only this time we haven't got a play off place to fall back on. One town fan has just said on the radio "We're shopping at Aldi and everyone else is shopping at Waitrose" :10:

I'm astounded at the way we responded after their goal, that was absolutely superb. We didn't sit back, we kept putting them under the cosh and were pressing them up right until the final whistle.

Bit of confidence and bottle about them off the back of a few decent results.

Good day that, opening up a nice gap down the bottom. Get a prolific striker in and we'll comfortably stay up.

Probably the most entertaining game Ive seen all season, plenty of chances created and great saves by both keepers.

I have to say after the way we started the second half, Johnson changed the game by bringing on Wilbraham and Agard. The latter in particular was fantastic. A further superb sub to bring on Wagstaff to help Little and we saw the game out very comfortably.

Thoroughly deserved win. Is this the first time this season we have at least the same points as games played?

A win next week will be massive.

Fully deserved. Cotterill needs shooting for the way he set up that team. We will be absolutely fine this season. Also Johnson looked to change it before there goal but couldn't get them on quick enough.

On to next week .

Under Cotterill = 4 wins in 27 games

Without Cotterill = 3 wins in 5 games.

Anyone still think dismissing him was a bad idea?

Just watched the highlights, how good was the Ipswich keepers' save from Korey? Not just to save it but get it over the bar especially as it was defelected too? :eyes:
What a save, take a bow son!! :brill:
He made at least 2 other blinding saves as well, the one from Agard was a belter too!

It was incredible, I have no idea how he managed it. I was sat right behind it, he punched it up from off the floor over the bar. Fantastic save. I thought their keeper was MOM.

I won't criticise Gerks Tom, he did a good job for us when he was here but Barts save yesterday was a 'worldie'. If that had been in the Prem, the media would have been creaming themselves about it.

I wasn't at the game but if that is the case, that is two MOM's for Bart in the last two games being only the 3rd game after coming in for an injured Gerken. Town fans have been calling for this change all season. It will be interesting to see what happens when Gerken is available for the Hull game next.

Gerken is a good shot stopper but he makes so many mistakes and doesn't talk with the back 4. Has cost us so many points with poor decision making.

Gerken was decent with us but never quite had enough to hold down a place long term, despite numerous opportunities. Couldn't quite put my finger on what it was but he's just lacking something to be a good Championship keeper

2 issues with Gerken for me....could never command his area and the most non-vocal I can remember!

He still has the same issues. Gerken doesn't fill me with confidence and unfortunately he seems to have the same effect on our defence.

Yeah, all of the above. He has his moments, both positive and negative... but costs us goals ultimately.

I'm really worried about us now. We're so paper thin. Probably need to be injury free March through May (including Fraser, Bish and McG... all of which seems pretty unlikely) to make us favourites for that 6th spot.
