I used to like you Preston lads...

In all seriousness, you look a tidy outfit and will finish in a comfortable position. I've seen plenty of worse down here, who we've lost to!

Right.
First half was an awful, low quality game, was a bit of a joke to be honest. Seemed to be like a warm-up match, and we weren't really the better team.

Second half things livened up (thank god) and after a fairly decent start Preston scored, it looked like a nice header from Ben Pearson (might be completely wrong) but turns out Baker made a right mess of it. God knows why he didn't just head it wide for a corner, and not attempt to get it over the net. But we replied back instantly through a goal from WIlbz, and then we started to look the better side. Preston had the more chances (including that DJ shot that hit the post) but we were the better side. Reid had a beautiful shot very well saved from Sam Johnstone, before they really started to get back into it, and scored from a corner, which is terrible tbh. Cunningham aswell. We hit the post (somehow, god knows how he didn't divert it in) before FT. Another bad day, topped of by Cotts' antics.

I wouldn't say we came for a point. That's our game plan every away game, give the opposition a lot of the ball and try and hit them on the counter. We broke a couple of times first half but not enough. Second half was much better from both teams.

How did Pearson get on?

Most reports from PNE fans say he had a good debut, especially considering he'd only been at the club 24 hours and is clearly lacking a bit of match fitness.

Just goes to show you don't have to be very good to survive in this division.

UTW. Play off charge is on the cards....:ds:

As for the Bristol fan who said 'You should be safe now'. The majority of North End fans have known all season we will be fine. It was only a matter of time before we started moving up the table as our performances have been generally good all season, and we have yet to receive a spanking like all the teams at the bottom have, on numerous occasions.

Fkn delighted this morning. How did Pearson look on his debut for those nobbers in attendance?
I said Pearson looked 'a bit shit' yesterday which was maybe harsh.

He looked okay - a bit off the pace, a few mistimed tackle and a bit slow at times he sat and protected the back 3 very well. Went down at the end with cramp and then went off, so not match fit obviously.

Got stuck in well and looked calm on the ball. Will probably become a bit of a fan favourite like Gregan.

Fucking Hell, that's an endorsement, i'd be ecstatic if he was a third of the player Gregan was.

Haha I'm not hailing him as the second coming, I just meant he's in a similar mould and the fans will probably love him. Made a couple of crunching challenges that pleased the crowd.

Fucking loved Keano, not the best football going no but my god did he give his heart when playing. Never seen someone pick up so many yellow cards after not being afraid to get stuck in.
