Not scored from open play in 6, yes, that's SIX games, and all over the shot at the back.

QPR will undoubtedly improve under JFH, and looked half decent against Brighton last night. If we gift QPR half of the chances we do to the opposition every week this could be any number, with Austin up top for them.

I'll go for another 0-4.

Austin with 3, Hoilett with 1.

I can only see a 0-2/0-3 defeat here which really puts us under the cosh going into Christmas.

We have not played away under JFH so not sure if he will adopt the same approach as he does at home. If he does, then I will go 2-0 to us.

There has never been anything more obvious than a Charlie Austin double here. 1-2 QPR, point wouldn't be a bad result if we can get it. BIG game against Charlton boxing day.

I couldn't get a ticket for this in the end so Radio Bristol it is for me.

Have you guys been struggling that badly?

Have you really been that bad recently? We have scored 1 goal from open play in the last 6 games, something daft like that.

Hope more than expectation for me. I just can't see us keeping Austin quiet.
My heart dearly wants a City win but my head says another defeat.
Bah humbug.
Ground's looking good though. :gmc:

Well as JJH mentioned we've scored 0 in 6 from open play. And you've only conceded 4 in your last 7. Look at the table, and look at the respective squads. It tells you everything you need to know about our chances on Saturday. 9/5 for you is a hell of a price.

I couldn't bet against City but those odds are very generous indeed.

LOOL!
He won't even start will he?
I was reading through their fans forum last night, and for some bizarre reason a poster on their has the QPR goalscoring chart for this season as their signature.

I didn't realise he was their second top scorer, behind Austin obviously, but considering his limited gametime to already have 5 goals ain't all bad.

He wont start. He has been injured a lot recently as well, but was doing very well filling the void Austin left.

Could really do with something from this, but it'll be tough. Yet another game against a side with a new manager, and they looked pretty good from what I saw against Brighton.

Praying Kodjia's fit and we'll be back to him and Wilbraham up top

I'll tentatively go for a draw, 1-1

Decent half. Played some nice stuff, but again lack the end product. QPR haven't offered anything at all.

Need to press them up more in the midfield when we're defending, they're getting a bit too much time on the ball to pick their pass, but other than that we've looked pretty solid.

Need a goal. Freeman and Kodjia both looked lively.

Dominating without creating clear chances. QPR not very good but this will be a 0 1.

Austin wasn't injured today - he's off somewhere then.

Fully deserved point. Could have nicked it at the end, and it wouldn't have been un-justified.

Green was without doubt the busier keeper, but they just had that clinical edge through Hoilett(?) for their goal.

Freeman was excellent, and Kodjia looked lively. Bryan absolutely has to start next week against Charlton, we had endless amounts of space on the left but Williams isn't at all attack minded and nowhere near attacking enough to exploit it. When Cotterill finally brought Bryan on, he set up the goal.

Decent point, huge game next week on Boxing Day against Charlton, need a win there.

Good summing up. Bar 15-20 minutes after their goal thought we were by far the better team, best display in a while. Play like that against Charlton and we'll win

Agreed, a good summation of the game.
WTF was the booing of JET about? Really unnecessary IMHO.
The only player I thought was remotely poor today was Marlon. He had a period in the 2nd half where every pass went to a blue and white hooped shirt and I felt for the bloke TBH. 'Poor' is probably unfair but he didn't have a good game IMO.
I don't know if people were aware but Frankie actually touched Hoillett's shot on to the bar, I had a great view of it and he definitely got to it. 3 decent saves from Frankie today which was good to see after his game on Tuesday.
Overall, much, much better but I do feel that the R's weren't as good as I expected in all honesty.

Good performance that. Fortunate Austin and Sandro weren't available but that was still a very strong QPR side regardless. Pretty confident we'll beat Charlton.

Ciderup I thought the treatment of JET was perfect. Clap him at the start, boo him every time he touches the ball (this is a game of football after all, and we want to win), clap him at the end.

Didn't help that Austin was missing, they lacked a cutting edge up top.

JET booing was moronic, but was only a minority. Shame he didn't get a decent reception when he came on as we were in the process of celebrating our goal. Did he get a good reception after the game? I didn't hang around long enough to see.

Fair enough Aaron, it seemed a bit OTT to me and it was nice to see him get a decent ovation from the SS at the end.
The other real positive was Luke Freeman, I thought he was everywhere today and had a very good game. Apologies if that doesn't fit in with everyones opinion but I just say it as I saw it.
