Gotta say some of the referees in this league are beyond dire though, today's was pretty terrible all round for both teams but didn't influence the result.

I'm sure no referee intentionally does harm, but their errors and ineptitude do cost teams points.

Of course it isn't. He wasn't undeservedly sent off at all, he headbutted Stephens. It should have been a free kick before that, but that is just a poor refereeing decision.

While those 2 things don't equate, having an influential player sent off after 90 seconds is of course going to affect the game, whether the decision is right or not. (In the city swindon game it did seem to be right, however I think play should have been stopped before that point and then elliot would not have been in the position to react how he did)

Tbh that decision doesn't bother me however the swindon players reactions to the red (celebrating it like a goal) and then goading city fans at the end were irritating at the time, and I think it's these things some have clung onto.

As for today, city clearly weren't at their best, and some of that must be credit to Rochdale for not letting us be, if they can repeat performances like today but shoot better then they will have no trouble staying up

We were shit. The ref was fairly poor at times for both sides (but not when the crowd deemed him to be; Wilbraham's injury wasn't a head injury so he can be left on the floor until the ball goes dead - which is playing by the rules!).
Rochdale couldn't hit the proverbial barn door / cows arse. Whatever you want it to be. Decent finishing would've seen them win easily.

Our subs were poor. I can't see the point of swapping our LB when we had more poor performers. Cunningham wasn't letting people past him and whilst he wasn't particularly decisive going forward, our middle and Agard were both performing poorer. Those changes were the ones to make to try and change the flow of the game. Bryan coming on just wasted a sub and made no difference.

However; 70 points. Feb. 8 points clear. Whatever!
