Unfortunately it will have to happen. We already have new towns being built in certain places like Sherford in South Devon.

The Boundary line of Plymouth is being expanded bit by bit and I imagine this is happening to other towns and cities as well.

It's happening here in Wells with over 600 new homes being built on the edges of the city which is ridiculous as we don't have the servies to support that growth like schools and GP's.

It shouldn't have to happen though should it.

While we are in the EU we can't do much about it apart from Build more housing and provide more public services. After Brexit, we will have some control, but still likely to have positive net migration, so same applies but more manageable.

The issue is while we are building more homes, we are not investing enough in Public services to meet demand. We may possibly have more breathing space in two years time, but we can't ignore providing more public services to meet demand.

There's hundreds of thousands of empty homes, plenty of potential on brownfield sites, they fucked up the council housing system with right-to-buy and no way to use the money generated to build more so we had a generation of properties going out of public ownership and availability, now some chancer developer wants the green belt so they bring up immigration to bolster their case. Of course more people require more houses but if you think it's immigration has led to the housing crisis you'll swallow any old crap.

I'm wondering what Johnny T and his cronies make of the British expats who have relocated to other countries (generally hot places of course, ones with a mild winter) like southern Italy and Sicily, Spain, Greece and in the Mediterranean islands like Malta. Or what about those over in South America? Do all these people have to come back to Great Britain? If the UK closes its border to foreigners then it stands to reason that expats wouldn't be welcome anymore anywhere else.

I wouldn't know about this instance because whenever I see the words migrants and Daily Mail in the same sentence I don't read it. I did a paper at university on how the tabloid media exaggerate and falsify their reportage of migrants and asylum seekers. Needless to say the Fail and The Scum were the worst offenders. I'd advise reading more objective reports than those found in the Fail.
