If cole stockton is top scorer at the end of september i will donate 10 quid to the site , buy you a nights beer and show my bum in beatties window he is possibly one of the worst strikers i have ever seen at prenton park even visiting supporters used to ' extract the urine' out of him last year.

I hope he has a nice warm tracksuit i think its all he will get to wear come 3 oclock on a saturday , i think we will go with mangan and his lordship
Don't remember anyone taking the piss out of him last year, as apart from a spell under Rob at the start of the season, tracksuit wearing seemed to be his major participation. On the other hand, if he did start most of the time under Adams, then I honestly didn't even notice. Which sums him up pretty well.

Really?

In the North maybe with Stockport and FCUM but I don't really see anything in the South that BT would be interested in.

I'm not for one second suggesting they should be on TV but the fixtures between ourselves, Dartford and Maidstone will attract a lot of interest this season. The games with Margate too probably.

Completely agree that they'll attract attention and wasn't meaning to come across that there aren't some tasty fixtures!

Just none that will take BT away from their model of having as many big fan base teams on as possible.

Does anyone know if that highlights programme is still going ahead this season?

Oh course not. I totally agree there. Even if we played Dartford or Maidstone in the Premier they'd probably still stick Tranmere v Braintree on the box.

Last time we were on the box Sammy fucking Moore broke our hearts. We had led from the 30th minute or something and up he pops in the 94th minute to take the tie to extra time before winning it in the 121st minute! I felt sick.

Does anyone know when the BT Sport games are likely to be announced? Can't find anything at the moment - do they show one match every week?

Was announced on the 11th July last year, so around then?

25 games from the regular season, so roughly one every two matchdays

Read a tweet about it, yesterday maybe and it said it was going to be presented by Mark Clemmit.
Mixed news there then. Great that it's still going ahead, but not enthused with their choice of presenter. Still, maybe this means he'll feature less on their live coverage, or is that wishful thinking?!

Season's not yet started and we're having a go at Cole Stockton already. Did quite well when Rob was playing him regularly, got injured barely got a look-in thereafter. Doubt he'll be our saviour this season, but given the confidence he could chip in with a few goals.

As for fixtures being moved, who gives the scheduling clearance? I wish they'd get a move on, as I 'm trying to sort leave for our midweek trip to Southport in September.

Correct. They wanted to move us to Thursday or Sunday despite having games on Saturday and Tuesday.

This sounds a bit like Setanta, for those who can remember them, who used the Conference to fill in when they couldn't find any other football to screen. We once had a game against Crawley on a Sunday evening, stupid time to play football, and they even delayed the kick-off because the previous programme over-ran.

I was originally looking for someone to pick on who definitely won't be the league's top scorer come the end of September, tbf, and Cole for some reason sprang to mind. My main issue with Cole is the lack of effort he's typically shown in a Rovers shirt up to now over the last 3 or so seasons, hence saying I probably wouldn't have noticed him. He'll probably get the odd goal off the bench, but if he made more of an effort to get involved in the game, then who knows...

My main recollection of the York game was Marc Laird having the worst Rovers debut in living memory, some odd substitutions by Edwards and a late and probably undeserved equaliser from James Rowe. Had a look at the match reports on a fan forum and the general view was Stockton was too isolated deployed as a lone striker but didn't play that badly.

I have had my holidays for our Tuesday away games for Cheltenham, Tranmere and Boreham Wood signed off at work, so if BT Sport could keep their hands off those 3 (and all away games if possible) I would very much appreciate it!

A bit surprised but no one really wanted to see all ten of us in the Tranmere away end on a Friday night on TV.

It's a bit tinpot just to report that there WON'T be a live game on the opening weekend, good though that news is for me. It surely can't be that difficult to agree and publish a schedule of televised games for the first couple of months.
